Archive for January, 2010

Thanks to everyone who dropped by to say hi and play with us at the Wedding Connection show by Saint Louis Bride Magazine at Windows Off Washington last Sunday! We had a hoot in the photobooth with all of the brides to be and a great time catching up with some of our favorite vendors. Click right here to take a look at the photobooth photos, then just right click to download yours if you’re in there!

Little Macie Kristine … only 7 days old. Nothing I say can describe her cuteness, so on with the photos…

Congratulations to Macie’s family! She’s just absolutely perfect!

Back tracking a little for you this month to share most of the shoots I blog-skipped over the holidays. This little guy had just turned 1. (my favorite age to shoot actually… they just stand and hold onto something, maybe take a couple steps, no running away at high speed, and most importantly still give you that genuine, real smile when they mean it… none of that fake “cheese” stuff like a trained toddler. I won’t be training my child to say “cheese” ; )

We shot at the beautiful Botanical Gardens, although it was pretty bare at this time of year, it is always a great outdoor location.

Blog MIA (by kristie)

January 11, 2010

Man, did I fall off the blog world this holiday season or what! Between the holiday photo rush, the actual holidays, than catching a cold that drained my pregnant self for about two weeks, blogging hit the bottom of my “to do” list. I have so much to share for everyone, I’ll keep the posts coming the rest of this month!

To start … We wanted to share our L Photographie Holiday card that was sent out to our clients. Too late to say “happy holidays” to you … so Happy New Year! We hope you have a wonderful 2010. And be green!

if that disclaimer is too grainy to read, it’s the funny part, so here you go:

Disclaimer:
No one was harmed in the making of this card. For the record, Liz and Kristie do realize the difference between the color green, and being environmentally green. They also realize they look more like French leprechauns, than holiday-spirited. They like hats.  Liz created the L Photographie glue letters all by herself.  She was excited to use glitter as it is shiny.  Kristie may or may not have purchased a bunch of these items from Target, and then returned them.  What’s greener than that?  Kidding.  Kristie is also not drinking alcohol in this photo, as she is 18 weeks pregnant.  Liz didn’t either, as she felt bad drinking alone.  Liz made Kristie wear the big bow on her head.  Kristie did not find it as funny as Liz.  Liz and Kristie would like to thank Steve Sloan, the now self-claimed Creative Director, who came up with the whole “green” idea.  Also, thank you Josh Kell for helping last minute with copy, although we only used a few of your words.  Whoops.  Josh’s ideas will come in later years!  Liz and Kristie hope you got to laugh with (at) them again this year. Happy Holidays and Cheers to a wonderful 2010.  Be green.

So how’s this for ironic timing… I’m running late on posting Mandy’s maternity session, and her little girl decides to arrive early… so literally this afternoon while I was choosing photos for the blog, Mandy left me a voice mail saying she was in labor! Today is little Macie’s Birthday! We’ll see photos of her soon, but first here’s mommy (and family).

Mandy, many Congratulations to your family and your new little girl! I can’t wait to meet her!!
