Jenny + Jacob {by liz}

I actually got to work in Illinois TWICE this year! It is so funny and weird how that river really is a great divide for our metro area. Kate and I actually both randomly happened to go to high school on the Illinois side of the river and still have parents over there. But when it comes to our clients, they are 95% from the Missouri side. Even though some towns in IL are less than 20 minutes away from our studio! So when I get to head over that way it’s a nice little change of pace.

Now, Jenny and Jacob. You two are crazy. You must be to have made that insane number of adorable items to personalize your wedding and make it beautiful! Mindblowing. No seriously. So many couples (albeit more brides than grooms) go into the wedding planning process with a bunch of DIY projects they want to accomplish. And 9 times out of 10, they get started, realize just how much time it is going to take, and said projects get tossed out the window or passed off onto others. I have absolutely no idea how you did it, but I am glad you did! It was perfect!

Not only was their wedding perfect, so are they. For each other. You’ll see. Here we go!  How about this for a perfect start?!  It is actually a close up of their guest signature board.  The strings continued up and guests did colorful fingerprints to look like balloons.

The shape of Jenny’s empire waist gown fit her personality to a T.  Yummy ruffly shoes don’t hurt either.

Shiny!

Love the personalized fingerprint in the ring.

How cute is this little one?  Wait, why am I taking kid photos?  Is Kristie rubbing off on me?!  Crap. :)

Time to check on the boys!  Busy little bees…

Hi Jacob!  I think his gift from Jenny was a hit.

Time to get Jenny dressed…

Maybe the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen.  They are amber and golden with a rim of gray.  So unique.

And beautiful.

Love this portrait.  One of my faves of the day.

Just a few quick pics outside before the ceremony!

Now we get to start digging in on some DIY loveliness.  Cute right?  Both the kids and the programs.  The kids are not DIY.  Well actually if you think about it… :)

Cones of confetti made from sheet music.

Vintage hankies!

And here comes the bride and her papa.

Yay married!

They got smacked with a few paper airplanes on the way back down the aisle.  Causing some serious laughter.

And another one of my very favorites!

Off for some fun photos!

Love the color pallet.

The guys broke into song.  That is not a regular occurrence on my wedding days. :)

Just playing in a field of wild grass…you know, just a normal day.

With balloons. :)

Time to party!

Table seating hang tags.

And the cutest dessert table ever.  Here it is in it’s entirety…and then in pieces.  I am now craving donuts.  And it’s 7:00 at night.  Crap.

Photobooth backdrop made with strips of torn fabric!

Toasts had everyone in stitches.

Snuck them out for a few final photos before the sun set…

Let the dancing begin!  I love these two of Jenny and her Dad.  Jenny still has confetti in her hair. :)

So just as they finish up their first dance, something happens that prompts this reaction from Jacob.  Anyone care to wager a guess?

Your friendly neighborhood Fredbird!

Those girls were not ready to let Fredbird go.  They are serious!

I think there may have been some YMCA-ing going on in this shot.

I had such a great time with you guys. Thank you so much for having me!  I hope this giant blog was worth the wait!  With love, Liz
