Welcome to one of my most unique weddings of 2012! Nicolle and Grant were pretty determined not to do things the traditional way. From Nicolle’s sky-high platforms and non-diamond engagement ring, to an evening ceremony at Lumen, tack on a gown lovingly handmade by her mom, add in a few dancing kangaroos and koalas and you’ve got yourself a wedding! No seriously, what a fun and unique event all the way down to the cute signs and decor direction from Kate and Co. Due to the timing of the event, we had to do all of the portraits after dark and get a little creative. I would definitely say that is not our specialty, but sometimes a little nudge out of a comfort zone is a good thing. And on to the photos…how about these heels?!  Mmmmmm…

I love the new trend of having families and friends mixed together at the ceremony.  Usually (not always!) the bride and bride’s family has invited more people than the groom’s side…this keeps the sides from looking unequal!
