I loved everything about this day, but mostly I love Murray, Matt and their families. As a wedding “vendor” I always expect to be treated with respect, but also realize that I am technically the “hired help.” I am perfectly fine being called a vendor and know my place in the food chain. After all, it’s not MY wedding day! However, every now and then I come across the kindest sort of people. The ones that go completely out of their way to make sure I am ok, continually ask if there is anything they can do for me, thank me constantly, give me some “at a girl” praise and are just downright nice to the core. The kind of family you want to be a part of and the people you hope will stay in your life in some way or another. And that is exactly how I feel about these two and their families.
We started by getting ready at the classic Ritz Carlton and Murray’s Lela Rose dress was to die for. Note: I wish I could make my hair look like that! Any stylists reading this that could help me out for an upcoming gala? Matt added a little personal style of his own with a polka dot bow tie. Then off to Washington University and Tower Grove Park for a few photos before we settled in for the ceremony at the Shrine of St. Joseph. Afterwords we scooted out to my number one favorite venue: The World’s Fair Pavilion for dinner at sunset. Flowers by the talented Tina Barrera and catering by the professionals at Catering St. Louis. Thanks for a beautiful day Murray and Matt!
