This gorgeous dancer is up on the blog today! I loved Selma’s session – we shot in one of my favorite St. Louis neighborhoods, Lafayette Square. If you follow the blog you’ve probably heard me say that before…and I’ll most likely say it again. It just has such a great variety of places to use for a portrait session! As I mentioned, Selma is an amazing dancer (and we’re hopefully going to shoot some dance specific stuff here soon, so check back for a post with some gorgeous leaps and other dance poses!). We stuck with her team uniform for this shoot – gotta show your school pride!
Sun popped out in full force for a minute…kinda love it with the little breeze blowing her hair :)
Stunning blue eyes!
Second outfit in the park…thankfully we got a few clouds for this spot. It just works better that way! I loved this cold shoulder top. Definitely a major trend last summer and fall, and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere this coming spring!
The tassel necklace was another jewelry trend I was a big fan of.
We added in the cozy plaid blanket scarf for some variety, and I love how it went from a summery look to much more wintry feeling with the evergreen trees! That really cool blue-green tied in perfectly :)
Another bright spot of sun…one of my favorite shots! We were walking from one place to another so I only got this one, but it was such a good smile :)
So funny/random story…the day we shot these, there were couches and chairs all over the neighborhood. Just sitting on the sidewalk, out in the middle of the park, all over! So random and weird, we had to sit on one for a minute. I never did look up what is was for, but made a fun moment for our shoot.
Only second time using this giant door…the texture is so awesome!
Thanks again for a wonderful shoot Selma! Hope you love your photos as much as I did :) – Meredith
