I have this mantra-ish thing that I use to make my poor husband a little crazy sometimes. Its a goal of mine to have at least a slightly new experience every day. Sometimes they are big and other times they are tiny. Maybe I take different route home and drive a road I’ve never been on before in St. Louis. Maybe I try a new type of food. Others are a little more significant. I may schedule us to try rock climbing or zip lining. And then others are HUGE…like the one I’m experiencing right now: Traveling to the south of France to shoot a wedding for a close industry friend! I’m sitting in a tiny hotel in Roquebrune Cap Martin typing this blog while Meredith is in the shower. It is so incredibly lovely here! We are going on about one hour of sleep in over 24 hours so I’m a little overly emotional about everything, but I’m not exaggerating when I say it is exactly what you dream the south of France would look like. But even surrounded by all of this beauty, I still LOVE looking back at these images from Megan and Trey’s wedding day! It was one of those rare and wonderful St. Louis summer days where the heat wave broke and we all enjoyed a perfect evening at the Worlds Fair Pavilion. (I ponder whether I would appreciate the beautiful weather days as much if it was lovely all of the time. They feel miraculous in Stl.)
Speaking of weather, Megan and Trey live in Houston and have evacuated up to Stl to stay with family. Everyone help send positive thoughts their way that their friends and belongings in Houston stay as safe and dry as possible! When I asked her about the brand of her gown for this blog, and she tried to call bridal store and found out they are closed due to flooding. Nature can be the most beautiful and the most devastating force. We are thinking about you guys! Hopefully all of the love and memories in these images will help lift some spirits!
I love this one. It’s SO Megan. Sexy socks lady! ;)
Perfection!
I think they agree. ;)
Trey – the one of the left could get you a modeling job. Quite different from your actual job eh?!
The insanely talented Sofi Seck was kind enough to join me on this one and she had some fun with the guys before we met up!
Looking out over the city…ready to see his bride to be…
Wind is funny. Again, nature. ;)
Pretty portrait time done – off to Graham for the ceremony!
Such a pretty reception set up. Classic with a touch of rustic.
I love light. Sometimes flares are a bad thing, but sometimes they make the shot.
Prism reflections.
And fireworks!
I hope you guys love your preview! Congratulations! With love, Liz
