KEREN + LANDIS {by liz and kristie}

I know as a reader you’re just getting here, but I’m already a good 3 hours into this blog post! Keren and Landis had a beautiful day, so it took quite some time to narrow it down to our favorite pics and then make all of those “blog ready” so to speak (resized with logos and whatnot). Welcome to a slightly overwhelming 100 or so photos below! And it is absolutely worth it to take it all in from beginning to end.

I (aka Liz) started with Keren at her parents loft in the Central West End which is literally right across the street from our studio. Weird little coincidence right?! And who has parents so hip that they live in a CWE loft anyway?! But I digress…I believe I am going to dive in and narrate this one with the photos because I truly believe they speak for themselves. So I give you the beautiful light, ruffly, airy Mikaella gown to start!

Followed by the amazing, glittery Jimmy Choo pumps!  (It took an incredible amount of self control to only post one shot.  Like Incredible Hulk incredible.)

Beautiful bouquets designed by one of my favorite St. Louis florists…Wildflowers.

I was trying to be sneaky.  I failed.

Keren actually joked before the wedding that it was an “L Photographie fave vendor” wedding beginning to end.  Plenty of truth in that!  Emily Miller of Delicately Bold did a beautiful job on Keren’s makeup.

This time not only did the BRIDE wear some pretty splendid shoes, but the GROOM splurged a bit too…welcome to this nice pair of Ferragamo’s.  Mmmm…I rarely drool over men’s shoes.  For the shoes’ sake it’s probably better that Kristie was responsible for the shots of the guys.

Landis looking all handsome and happy…

Beautiful Keren. Just beautiful.

And then off to the park for the first look.  And it ended up being one of my favorite first looks ever!  Mostly because Landis was a little teary-eyed.  But the light and the trees and basically everything was just as it should be.

Keren wiping away a happy tear.  Or two.  I love these two together.

A few relaxed portraits in the park.

Kristie’s angle is actually my favorite.

Quick romantic photo stop in ivy covered architecture.

Oops – I lied!  One more shoe shot!  Seriously, how could I not?!

One of my favorite parts of Jewish wedding tradition is the Ketubah signing.  It’s such a touching, quiet (ish), personal moment between the couple and the people closest to them.

All of the parents!  Neatly in a row…smiling…I think they were all looking forward to this day for quite some time.

The ceremony and reception rooms at the Coronado Ballroom were both covered in beautiful cherry blossoms and peonies.  Two of my very favorite stems!

Kristie captured a few perfect final moments behind the curtain.  Before the doors open…

Married!

How about these adorable little place card chairs personally made by the bride and groom out of paint swatches?!  Backstory tangent: Keren and Landis actually met while working together at Martha Stewart in New York.  And the folded chair place card idea started with Martha.  But Keren and Landis put their own spin on it with the paint swatches.  Cute eh?!

Welcome to the pretty room and table shot section of the longest photo blog ever!

Bride and groom chair banners.  Love.

They really kicked off the party right!  Straight to the Hora!

Side note: I don’t think that Keren closed her mouth through the whole up and down spinning chair ordeal.  When I started looking through the photos it was cracking me up.  I would be completely freaked out…pretty sure I would have had the same look on my face.  A strange mixture of joy and fear. Kind of like a roller coaster. :)

The toasts were all fantastic.  Laughter filled the room.

And then Landis got his hands on the mic and had everyone rolling…which may or may not have been at the expense of both sets of parents. I’ll let you decide!

Spinning around the dance floor…

Dancing the night away…

Congratulations to you both!  I’m so honored to have been there.  With love, Liz
