Although I have had the opportunity to shoot on the field at Busch Stadium quite a few times throughout my photography career, this is my first WEDDING on the field! I feel like this is a guy’s dream wedding. He get’s the girl AND baseball heaven all on one perfect day. Actually, I’m being kind of sexist. This is St. Louis and we’re talking Busch Stadium here. There are plenty of chicks in this fair city that are just as fanatical about baseball as their male counterparts! But no matter how big or cool the venue, in the end, it is always about the love. Cheesy right? But true! I just recently watched the Sex and the City movie again and Carrie talks about letting the wedding become bigger than Mr. Big. And I’m here to tell you that these two did not let the wedding become about the stadium. Not one little bit. That’s not to say they didn’t enjoy it to its fullest. ;) Take a look!
Customized baseballs don the wedding date and location. Notice the yellow shoes? Cardinal beak yellow. They didn’t want to go with the predicable cardinal red feathers. So they focused on the beak. :)
Baseball themed invitations designed from scratch by Clever Hands Press. Balancing that darn ring on that baseball took me like 10 minutes.
I know this is rare, but I’m starting with Brock! Brock was excited to get over to the stadium to spend as much time there as possible, so he and the guys got ready earlier than my usual groomsmen.
Lookin’ good! And happy.
Having a quick drink with the guys.
Time to get Tricia into her gown. Pretty!
Cutest flower girl ever.
LOVE this bouquet by Belli Fiori! Also love that Tricia wasn’t afraid of something other than white. I’m a big fan of a classic white bridal bouquet, but I also like to mix it up every now and then.
Off to the stadium! That is actual Busch Stadium grass in that photo. I touched it. ;)
Here comes the bride…
Married!
Time to play in the park with the wedding party for a few photos.
I like that sassy little heel pop.
In a sea of red.
Just hangin’.
The man.
Fly ball jumping contest.
Sadly, they eventually kicked us out, so we headed to Forest Park for a little more photo time.
I think those yellow wildflowers bloomed just in time to match Tricia and Brock’s wedding colors.
A little romance at the Muny.
Ending the night at the Westin. The customized baseballs served as both favors and table numbers. Look who was in attendance! Kidding of course. :)
Pretty tables.
Fun modern cake from The Cakery Bakery!
Even the menu was baseball themed.
Starting off the night with fun toasts.
Let the dancing begin!
What is happening here?!
One final shot on the way to the car. Perfect way to cap off the perfect day.
Congratulations Tricia and Brock! You two really hit it out of the park! May your days be filled with nacho cheese and World Series wins. (Cheesy. I know. Couldn’t resist.) With love, Liz and Meredith
