Remember fall?! I know it seems like spring is around the corner (spoiler – it’s not – it’s St. Louis – we are going to get at least one more snow!) but this really wasn’t all that long ago! Katie is the talented daughter of my long-time industry friend Carleen of Catering St. Louis. I was beyond honored to be part of this love and fun filled day. But I have to tell you the absolute funniest small world story. Shortly after I photographed their wedding, I went on a long weekend trip to Cancun with my three closest friends. We are boarding the plane on the way home, I’m in the aisle, looking for my seat and someone says something like “I hope I don’t have to sit next to that one” and it’s Jason! He is literally sitting in my row on the way home from their honeymoon! So we were able to do a little finagling to let the two newlyweds sit next to each other and I sat next to them on the flight back. I mean does it get any more small world that that?!
When you’re in the event industry and you have your own wedding you can basically go one of two ways. The first? Completely over the top, best of the best, more creative than anyone has ever seen, etc. Or the second, let’s just get our friends and family together and have a kick ass party. Katie and Jason opted for the second and everyone had an absolute blast! Thank you both so much for letting me be a part of it! And now…let’s dig in and start off with some beautiful blooms from my girl Barb at Bloomin’ Buckets.
Oliva on the Hill has an AirBnB where the girls were getting ready. So fun!
This little one is an absolute DOLL.
Eeek! Perfection!
Love squeeze.
Almost time for them to see each other on the patio at Oliva.
Then we were off to soak in some sun and play in the leaves!
Final stop for the day…The Visitor Center in Forest Park. One of my favorite buildings in St. Louis.
And they’re married! Let’s party!
I love the look on the right. ;)
Congratulations and much love to you both!!! With love, Liz
