Ahhh where to begin?! Another Osborn girl got married, and I was lucky enough to be there to capture it. Truly one of my favorite families and such a fun group of vendors that is was almost like a mini family reunion to see everyone again. I am pretty sad that there are not any more daughters left…we are going to have to find an excuse to just periodically get together for mimosas of something. LOL Katie and Shawn are a FUN couple… they had me and Mer laughing all day long. We began and ended our day at the Danforth plant and Science Center, a modern and cool architectural space that perfectly suited Katie’s vision. (the polar opposite of her sister, Sarah, whose wedding mer and I shot last year at Tower Grove Park!!) Katie chose a gown that fit this vision as well.. modern and sleek. Let’s start there. The dress (from Town & Country Bridal) and other gorgeous things.
like I said… laughing from minute one.
sister fun! (that’s Sarah in the fab beaded dress)
and Katie finally IN the dress with Sarah and Mom
and Dad too!
and we see the boys next… That’s Shawn on the right… looking dapper! I don’t know this groomsmen, but this seemed to be one of his signature moves. LOL
and no Osborn wedding would be complete without a spirit animal… at Sarah’s it was an enormous spider in the window… at Katie’s it was this lonely mallard looking for his family that was chased off by either the last minute contraction in the area, or by the neon blue dye added to the pond! The lone duck!
finally these two get to see each other!
I think Shawn in pleasantly surprised!
and gents (yes, I do have normal photos of them too)
see? this is his move, a la Michael Jackson… I have another one from the dance floor… but you get the idea!
the whole crew!
veil wind!! love it.
this is dedication to the dress…Connie from R&M design took one for the team to keep the train dry LOL
the terrace all set up for the ceremony
a hand made guestbook was a lovely touch
Shawn and his Mom both looked so happy and peaceful pre ceremony.
and here she comes!!!
gorgeous weather after rain threatened!
a pretty photo of Sarah looking on as her sis ties the knot
fist pump of joy!
LOVE this photos of Katie and Shawn…
the stunning Katie
the wraparound staircases in this place are insanely cool
awesome floral work by Festive Couture
and, um, read no further if you are even kind of hungry…
there are no words for the awesomeness of this dessert table… a mix of the best things from Sarah’s Cake Shop and Pint Size Bakery
after cocktails on the terrace, it was time for dinner and dancing
and toasting, of course!
HA! Caught you ladies!
and a surprise serenade by the groom… so amazingly sweet! (and good too… Shawn’s got some pipes!)
Jake from Fish Eye Fun bringing the photo booth laughs
this room with the floral projections!! WOW!!
and a crazy view just so you can see the space… awesome.
Katie and Shawn, thank you for trusting Mer and I to capture your fun, wacky, beautiful, emotional, wonderful day! with love, kate
