Oooooo I am so excited to share this one! What can I say? I am a sucker for sweet people and impressive architecture. Seriously though, until now, I haven’t shot in the Grand Hall in St. Louis Union Station for YEARS. In my defense there have been a few bumps getting it to where it is today. The last time I shot there was pre-renovation. I think it was July of 2010. Twenty-ten people! At the time it was a Hyatt Regency hotel and was truly magnificent. But then the Hyatt decided to move and renovate another downtown property by the Arch, and it went through a few different hands and honestly very few events happened there during this transitional time. But it is back and has been through an amazing rehab and looks absolutely fabulous. I’m so excited to have this historic St. Louis reception venue back on our radar!
But it’s not all about the location, honestly very little of the wonderfulness of any wedding day has to do the the venue or the decor, it has almost everything to do with the people. Emily is the absolute sweetest. I honestly can’t imagine her ever getting mad at anyone! And Eddie is this crazy cool even-keeled dude who is smitten with her. You guys were so much fun to work with. I hope you love the photos as much as I do! Thanks to the amazing Katie Saeger and all you did to make this day perfect for them!
I heart emerald cut rings. It’s what my mom has and I have always loved it. Not enough of them in the world!
This tiffany blue hued suite at the St. Louis Union Station Hotel has quickly become one of my favorite places for the ladies to get ready!
Remembering Emily’s grandma.
Emily had both moms a little teary after they opened their gifts.
Emily this dress looked like it was made for a doll – you re so tiny! And it was absolutely perfect on you.
So many fun moments.
I agree with this sentiment. :) Every single bridesmaid’s jaw dropped when Emily walked out of the bedroom.
Now that Emily is ready to go, time to hunt down Eddie and the guys. The hotel, although spectacular, is a labyrinth!
And with the last name Cherry, cherry socks are a must.
The first big moment of the day…
Followed by some relaxed photos around the grounds!
Boys will be boys. In their defense I totally encouraged it. ;)
Love this deco arch!
And the light up floor. So many unique architectural finds in this hotel! I feel like I barely had time to scratch the surface.
Ketubah signing and then wedding time!
Gorgeous chuppah by my friend Tina Barerra the Special Event Florist. So lovely girl!
Mazel tov to the Cherry’s!
This. Jaw dropping right?
Simple and elegant cake! Made. by Lia
Once everyone made it into the Grand Hall the dropped the lights and began this beautiful light show.
Tequila shots seem like a pretty kick ass way to get the dance floor started!
I mean the Hora has to be one of the coolest traditions ever. #jealous
You guys thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with your wedding day! May you have many happy years ahead! With love, Liz
