I still have a few more fall flashback weddings that MUST make it up here…too beautiful not to share. So I’m going to continue operating on the “better late than never” principle of things! Alyssa and Clint were married in Okawville, IL on an absolutely perfect day in November. I am just thankful they were willing to cross the river and hire a crazy St. Louis chic to photograph it! I really only get to work over in Illinois once or twice a year, so it’s always a fun new adventure for me. Alyssa’s family owns and runs the Roland Barkau Memorial Golf Course and Clint is a dairy farmer so customized golf tees and cow bells were a must! I learned a little thing or two about how weddings go down in smaller towns in Illinois. Apparently nearly the whole town is invited to the reception! And sweet little ladies home cook all of the food including an amazing number of homemade pies. Love everything about it! Let’s dig into some photos…
The girls got ready at a beautiful Victorian bed and breakfast in Okawville which meant I had the opportunity to use all kinds of fun antiques for detail photos.
Alyssa and her PERFECT skin. Sigh…
All I had to do was drive a few blocks to catch up with Clint and the guys at the church! Everything really is right around the corner in Okawville.
Lookin’ good Clint. Lookin’ good.
Alyssa’s mom Annette is an amazing florist and provided all of the floral designs for the big day!
Wee little tiny cow bells for the exit. Love it.
See what I meant about the flowers?!
Clint opening his gift from Alyssa…
He was pretty awe-struck by the Stan Musial autographed bat!
And back to the ladies…including the wee ones.
You have to have the perfect back to pull off this dress…Alyssa looked flawless.
A couple final portraits and it’s time to head off to St. Peter’s United Church of Christ to get married!
:)
A little quiet church moment before heading out to party with the wedding party.
The golf course made a beautiful backdrop for these fall photos!
Ahhh…I love it when I actually get to take portraits at sunset. It’s a wedding day rarity. But easier in the fall when sunset is earlier!
Time to party!
Mmmmmm…pie. Lot’s and lots of pie. I actually heard that the lady who bakes these also grows the ingredients like pumpkins and pecan trees.
More cowbell.
A late congratulations to Alyssa and Clint! Here’s to many wonderful years together! With love, Liz
