So we have had a LOT of rain this year. A lot. Truly more rainy wedding days than I have ever had in a single season… and this wedding day was no exception to that but Ashley and Judson did not let it get them down at all. From the downpours as we left the hotel, to getting trapped under the arches at Wash U to ‘wait it out’ and then again with the dedicated team of umbrella holders that got Ashley into the chapel without getting soaked…. they smiled through it all and it was a beautiful day, rain and all. So many wonderful vendors teamed up to contribute their talents and it really came together perfectly. We will begin with the sparkly (yet still practical!) shoes and tiered ruffle gown.
Thanks to Katie Saeger of Simply and Forever for bringing me the sparkle linen for a few photos! It made an extra shiny ring shot!
gorgeous stationary by Ten Four Paper
and a very “St. Louis-y” gift bag for the out of towners
tears brought on by pretty flowers (way to go Tina!)
now Judson makes an appearance !
time to get dressed!
I am not sure what sporting event is taking place here, just funny.
Judson’s reaction to the fact that the ladies ran just a wee little bit late- he does not look surprised. Perhaps Ashley runs on her own clock like I do… HA!
looks like she was worth the wait.
I loved these bright bouquets against the dark navy of the dresses
aaaaand I’ve lost control. hilarious.
fun with fans!
okay… so we had been here about 20 minutes when the sky started to look like this…. we ran for cover!
It is actually POURING right now… we are under cover and they are laughing, not freaking out. LOVE it.
traveling in style… I need to get some guys in tails to umbrella escort me around in the rain!
Graham Chapel in the rain
I love the triple thick paper used for these programs. And the letterpress. Swoon.
This pipe organ. Amazing.
a laugh of relief and joy at the end of the aisle…. MARRIED!!
Tina at The Special Event Florist put together the most amazing hot pink florals!
How cool is this quatrefoil cake?! (Sarah’s Cake Shop) It is a dead ringer for the art on the invites and stationary!
airplane escort cards!!
A full size airplane propeller as a guestbook? What not?!?
Evening falls at the Missouri History Museum
Ashley and Judson … you RULE for being such good sports and for getting rained on a little so that we could still go out for photos… I could not ask for more. Congratulations & thanks for letting me capture all the fun. With love, Kate
