If you stumble upon our blog very often, you will find that although we rarely reference wedding dates, the state of nature will give you a good idea of where we are in our wediting (my fun word for “wedding photo editing” which I accidentally created when it came out of my mouth a few years ago) workload. Becky and Brian were my last wedding of September…just before fall really fell across the land. We managed to find the first tree to change colors possibly in all of St. Louis so it might fool you a little. This was such a sweet wedding day. Becky gave Brian what was possibly the coolest wedding gift I’ve ever seen, Becky’s dad is the kind of guy that wears his emotions on his sleeve and almost had me in tears a couple of times, and I was lucky enough to have the amazing Kate Hargis of KSH Designs with me as a guest photog for their wedding day making it extra special all around!
Side note: I’ve decided that I may make 2016 the year of the vegetable ring shot. I’m basing this decision solely on how much I enjoyed using red cabbage leaves for Becky and Brian’s ring shot. And that guitar pick is a little foreshadowing of the coolest gift ever…more to come.
I know I say this all of the time, but I really love shooting the bridal getting ready time of day. It’s kind of momentous…putting on THE dress. Makes it all real.
Dad arrives…love this. Paulie – I would like to apologize on behalf of myself and all of the ladies for leaving you standing in the hallway for a good 10 minutes. But we wanted Becky to look perfect…and she totally did.
Becky gave her mom this custom framed piece…on the left is Becky’s mom with her mom on her wedding day and we took a photo to replace the one on the other side. So sweet.
This delicate little Tiffany ring was so pretty.
Becky you have this steadfast, strong, calm air about you. It totally comes through in photos.
Meanwhile on another floor…
Kate shot some great perspectives on Brian getting ready! I love this one…
And now…the gift.
So cool right?!
And we’re off to St. Gabriel Catholic Church in South City! These little flowergirls were just too cute.
Tears.
And smiles.
And hugs.
And even a fist pump. ;)
Photo time!
Fun with double exposures!
And while I was working up close on the double exposure shot, Kate was shooting this!
Cute little puzzle guestbook idea!
And the pretty ballroom at the top of The Chase Park Plaza.
Love the little Truman the Tiger (go Mizzou!) peeking out from under the cake!
All the smiles.
And a few tears.
Congrats to you both! It really was the best day ever! With love, Liz
