Carly + Elliott wedding {by liz & mer}

Ahhhh…you guys! I’m back in on blogging. I swear. I have so much beauty and love to share, I’ve just been a bit behind on my client editing and needed to deliver images rather than take the time to share them. Speaking of, I owe my clients from the fall and winter a big apology on my slow turnaround times. Last year was madness and I truly did not realize that I had stretched myself too far. Thank you all of being so patience and gracious with me.

While I’m at it I should probably go ahead and talk expectations when working with L Photographie. Every client who books us knows they are going to be waiting quite awhile for images, but they also know it’s with good reason. As far as I know, we do a much more detailed edit on entire collections of client images than anyone else in town. I’ve had multiple conversations with colleagues over the years and they all think we are crazy (they are probably right!) Or if we are really going to do this much work to all the images then we should definiltey charge WAY more (they are probably right about that too!)

We take so much pride in our work, and to us, each and every image matters. To rush through and say they are “good enough” well, it just isn’t in our vocabulary. Is every image a vision of perfection? Absolutely not! There is a reason a single magazine cover image has gone through 10 hours of editing. We are working though hundreds of images every day, so no, they are not perfect, but we promise every choice we make when editing is thoughtful and thorough.

Enough editing mumbo jumbo, enjoy this gorgeous St. Louis Jewish wedding at Le Meridien in downtown Clayton, MO! It was a super gross day outside, but so full of love and warmth inside. So we never even stepped out the door, but I think you will agree it was a perfect day all the same. Mazel tov Carly and Elliott! With love, liz & mer
