It’s not very often I get to shoot a themed wedding! And to be honest, most themed weddings aren’t “pretty” as much as they are just different and interesting. As much as I appreciate different and interesting, if it intersects with pretty then it’s pretty much perfect! AND if that theme has something special to do with the couple then it’s true love for sure. Carol and Adam both worked for the event production company Exclusive Events, so I just knew this wedding was going to be extra special!
I would like to apologize for my lack of words on this one. It deserves many, many more, but I need to leave for the airport in about 15 minutes for a little vacation with my hubby Steve and his parents. So I am going to let the photos speak for themselves…enjoy Maifest!!!!
Ok, but first, this is one of my favorite invitation shots in awhile. Thanks for the extra styling flowers Tina!
Possibly the cutest and happiest flower girl of all time.
Carol’s turn!
I feel like this bedroom at Carol’s parents also matched the theme. So bright and airy and blue!
Carol you have such poise.
The train is attached…time to head downstairs and read her letter from Adam.
Love.
Meanwhile across town…perfect little beer stein cuff links for Adam.
Doggie: “What’s going on up there? Why are you in the door? Are we going for a walk?”
Trolley to the church!
St. Peters Cathedral in Belleville, IL is a stunning church.
Maypole and beautiful wreath to match! My friend Tina Barrera knocked the wedding florals out of the park!
These two didn’t need to do a first look for timing, but they wanted to do one right before the ceremony. So sweet.
Aisle time!
Here come the new Mr. & Mrs. :)
I didn’t think that I needed to say much until I got to this one. We are now headed to Cinco de Mayo on Cherokee Street. Because this Maifest themed wedding was also on Cinco de Mayo and the groom’s brother owns the Fortune Teller Bar so why not?!
OMG best photo bomb ever.
Following the madness with some quiet, calm, pretty portraits in the park.
That bouquet. Seriously!
Yes, yes, yes to small wedding parties! This was perfect!
The reception took place in the historic Trolley Room at Forest Park Visitor’s Center. And the Maifest decor was bright and fun!
Lots of smiles and laughs from Adam!
And it’s about time to get the dance floor going!
Adam finally got to join in the festive outfits of the day ;)
It wouldn’t be right without pretzels to end the night….
…and sparklers!
Congrats you two! So glad to have captured this day with you – Liz & Mere
