This is the first wedding, since before COVID, that I am blogging BEFORE my couple gets their photos! The pandemic really knocked our world off its axis. We were a well oiled machine! Our workflow was set in stone, we all went into the studio nearly every day to work together, albums and prints were shipped directly to our studio and wrapped in pretty packaging, we made full pots of coffee to share as we edited photos and discussed life. Huh. Typing that just made me feel more nostalgic than I imagined it would. As I type this alone from my home office in my PJ’s, who knows if things will ever go back to “normal” and whether or not they should. What I do know, is that I need to get my groove back just like Stella. (Yes, I am old and I just referenced a super sexy movie with Taye Diggs and Angela Basset from 1998. Watch it.)
Ellie and Julian were my first wedding of the year and an awesome way to kick things off! It was a beautiful April day, the trees were in bloom and these two were head over heels for each other. Kate and I actually got to work together for the first time in years and we were in great hands with our good friend Simcha (who never ever throws a half-assed event!) We wish you both all the best for years to come! Liz + Kate
