We are so lucky over here. We get to work with some of the nicest people on the planet. I feel like I have been saying that more and more lately. However, I’m sure that I have just jinxed myself and a crazy person is going to walk through the door any minute. ;) This was one of the sweetest and most intimate weddings I have had the opportunity to be a part of recently. It’s funny, I LOVE the big giant weddings with all of the amazing design, unique ideas and crazy dance parties. But I also have a special place in my heart for the small intimate ones too. They are almost always overflowing with love because if you made the cut for the guest list, then you must be a really important part of the couple’s life. Such is the case with this touching winter wedding day of Erin and Pat! I think you’ll see just what I mean.
We will get to the emotion in just a minute…let’s start off with the usual pretty stuff!
This is a bracelet. I repeat BRACELET. It is made of real diamonds and was Erin’s something borrowed. Wowza!
Their little daughter Sophie was the perfect flower girl all day long!
Erin didn’t have bridesmaids. But she still got all of her besties matching robes and they all hung out together getting ready and drinking mimosas.
Into the dress we go!
The “Cinderella slipper moment” usually gets a few laughs. To be honest that’s why I encourage it.Pus it can be tough to get shoes on once you’ve gotten into the gown!
Love this little moment.
And seriously cannot say enough about how much I love this photo of Erin in the feather wrap. The way she is loosely holding it with her hand…perfection!
Hi dad! He’s a character. Made funny faces at me all day.
Quick gift opening with Pat before their first look on the rooftop.
Nice watch!
Here she comes…
They had a sweet little something shiny for Sophie too.
Had to get a few with the 4th family member Lady! What a sweetie.
Erin lived in the CWE for years so we had to get a few by the old apartment for old times sake. Ahhh memories. ;) I feel the same way about my old Soulard apartment.
And off to City Cottage we go! City Cottage is a very quaint and cozy city venue by Catering St. Louis. It holds up to 150 and is a great place to have both a ceremony and reception!
Guests were greeted with hot cider drinks as they entered the candle lit ceremony space.
So many happy tears in this cozy room.
Sweetest moment ever.
The fire is lit and the tables are set for a warm and relaxed dinner with family and friends. Beautiful flowers by my friend Barb at Bloomin’ Buckets. (Extra special thanks to Barb for the light holding!!!)
Fun toasts!
And last but not least, a little after dinner dancing.
You guys were so wonderful to work with! I know the weather wasn’t exactly stellar but you were totally willing to go with it and make the best of everything! Love your sweet family. With love, Liz
