Haley and Gary got married on a brisk fall day in Carlinville IL at Blackburn College.  They have a cute little chapel… who knew?!  We met them there and never left campus!  We all know how I love a good non traditional engagement ring…. let’s start with that!!

there are a few people in the crowd who *may* have gotten a little TOO exuberant with the petal toss… I have a few outtakes where Haley and Gary are making hilarious expressions as they get pelted in the face with flowers

sooo… sometimes when you are locations scouting for weddings, you are limited by a few things… weather, light direction, artistic direction, time of day, distance away if you’re on foot.. etc, etc…. so when on a college campus there are sometimes not a lot of “natural” areas… Von (my partner in crime for the day) and I scoured to the very back edges of the property to find a spot for some pretty photos of these two…it was a little bit farther than usual, and it was a little colder than predicted, but Haley and Gary and tough, so after dismissing the wedding party to go in and warm up, we soldiered on!  Little did we realize that one of the spots had gotten a lot of rain and was a little, well… swampy.  We turned around at one point and Haley is cracking up laughing and literally dumping water out of one of her shoes.  Not like, oh no her feet got damp… but like OMG there is like a metric cup of water in your shoe!  SO happy for clients who are lighthearted on their wedding days and are so fun and easy to work with…taking everything is stride!  Some bride’s may not have reacted that way– thanks for being awesome Haley!! We think it was worth it for the pretty naturescapes!
