Get ready for some loveliness to start off the weekend right! I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of a fellow St. Louis wedding industry friend – Jeanna from Simply Elegant Bridal! I don’t think this is going to surprise any of you given her specialty, but her gown was possibly the most beautiful piece of fabric artwork I have ever seen. The Pronovias was covered in tiny mother of pearl beads head to toe with a gorgeous illusion neckline. You definitely need a figure like Jeanna’s to pull it off and it fit her like a glove! Her husband Louie and a handful of handsome groomsmen rocked their tuxes. Louie’s dedication to hand-tying his bow tie definitely paid off. And to top it all off, it was a gorgeous, sunny October day and the ceremony and reception both took place at a couple of my favorite historic venues – the Statler and Crystal ballrooms at the Renaissance Grand. Me talking about this does it absolutely no justice, so on with the photos!
Check out this intricate bead work….
This beautiful, Art Deco, Gatsby inspired invitation from The Paper Patch set the mood.
I would just like to point out that I did nothing to enhance Jeanna’s eyes. They are really this color. Gorgeous right?!
Simply stunning. No words.
Jeanna and mama Annette!
Totally worth the effort Louie.
Lot’s of laughs with this group!
Lookin’ GOOD Louie. Very Bond-like.
Here comes the bride…
The picture-perfect Statler Ballroom.
Married!
Maybe my favorite portraits of the year. I love all of my weddings – so hard to choose! The light coming in at this time of day was perfection.
Window reflection fun at Simply Elegant Bridal.
I don’t do a whole lot of jumping shots, but this is downright impressive.
Funfetti!
All of the guys had on superman shirts under their tuxes. Awesome.
Deco inspired design deserves some deco period architecture. Love this place. I have so many favorite shots from this section that narrowing them down for this blog was PAINFUL.
Cutest doggies ever!
And on to the Crystal Ballroom to prepare for the party!
The detail on this art deco cake was perfection. I’m still amazed. Bravo Sugar Belle Cakery! Bravo.
Not a shabby view from the 21st floor.
I just loved so much about this day! You guys are awesome together. Thank you for choosing me to capture it! With love, Liz
