Showering is amazing. Last night I returned from a family camping trip and it’s astonishing how luxurious my house suddenly feels. For the record, it doesn’t usually. Mostly what I notice are all of the things I want to update, change, buy, etc to give it that designer feel I love and crave. I was thinking perhaps that need is fueled by my job…I am constantly surrounded by such beauty and extravagant elegance that I want my whole life to look that way! (Realist note: not possible.) After a few days in the woods though, I’ve decided we have it pretty darn good. And I’m glad that I can enjoy a campfire and a hike as much as a spa day at the Four Seasons, because life doesn’t exist on a single, flat plane pointing in one direction. There is so much to experience, and sometimes we need to remove ourselves from the comfort of our regular path to find it, and in turn maybe even appreciate or usual life more.
I say all of this now because after being in the middle of nowhere for a few days, sitting back down at my computer in front of these images, they seem even more beautiful than before I left. And I didn’t think that was possible! Jess and Nick exude a fun zest for life and at the same time bask in the comfort of each other. It is a lovely combination!
LOVE this invitation suite by Abigail Christine Designs! Big thanks to my girls at Belli Fiori for the styling flowers.
Perfection. Jess you have a PERFECT smile!
A little cuddle time with the newest family member.
How cute are these PJ sets from Piyama?!
I am in love with the simple, elegant silhouette of this gown.
First look with dad is sometimes one of my favorite wedding morning moments.
Although it could be rivaled by the bridesmaids getting their first look at Jess…
Meanwhile a few floors down…
A little pre-party!
The Old Cathedral Basilica in downtown St. Louis is a true treasure.
Married!
Off to the park to take advantage of a few late blooms! We felt surrounded by flowers.
And back to the Four Seasons…let the celebration begin!
When your first dance breaks into “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys. So fun!
Also, when you get married on “May The Fourth” there must be lightsabers. Whether or not they are used for limbo is entirely up to you.
A little Proud Mary Rollin’ on the River (I have heard this song at hundreds of weddings but I have never seen this dance lol!)
What a truly perfect day! Congratulations to you both! With love, Liz + Mer
