This wedding makes me smile. Even as I sit here sick, typing miserably and coughing, I can’t help but grin at these photos as they are uploading. Jessica and Jeff are two of the most fun loving and sweet people I have had the pleasure of photographing this year, and their wedding reflected it from start to finish. Lots of love, family goofiness, and personal details… Jessica is a chef, so you will see the cake knife is nothing to scoff at, and Jeff is an ice sculptor…so of course he made an ice piece for the wedding! We begin our day with the groom for a change of pace!
and off to the Missouri Botanical Gardens to see Jess (after we see all her pretty things, that is!)
the fallen ginkgo leaves made a perfect backdrop
jess’s grandpa gold plated a penny with her birth year for her to wear in her shoe
a garter and hanky made from mom’s wedding dress!
the first of many silly moments
I kinda love this moment…
and this one…
here is a lovely photo of jess’s veil pinning….
…followed by a collage of some of the faces she made while it was happening.
and here comes the bride
noticing the mohawk…
happily married!
looks like that hanky came in handy!
pure bubble joy.
jess’s brother and some mohawk fans
think it runs in the family?!
straight from the soft pretty gardens into a slightly different environment…
arriving at City Cottage
cupcakes… prepare to meet thy doom!!
careful Jeff!!!
yum! Catering St. Louis never fails to amaze me with their delicious food!
this woman made a head first dive and crashed into the bar to snag that bouquet! A+ for effort!
Bissinger’s Chocolate favors, an ice sculpture made by Jeff, and an oil painting by Jeff’s brother crafted from one of their engagement photos as a guest sign in
I love the cabin-esque warmth of City Cottage
Thanks for letting me capture all the fun!
