Welcome to one of my favorite engagement sessions this year! The weather was perfect. I mean, Jordan was a little chilly in a dress, but I thought the weather was perfect lol. ;) Such a beautiful day to drive out to Klondike Park. We have been working with Jordan’s family since 2015 when I photographed her sister Brittany’s wedding, and one of my favorite things about my job is the continued relationships. This is NOT a transactional business. I remember meeting up with my new clients when they are nervous about the first professional photos the have ever had taken together, then experiencing the overflowing emotions of their wedding day, followed by working together to design the perfect wedding album…and then usually a little bit of time goes by. (Sometimes very little time lol!) I love the “we’re pregnant” emails! Then sometimes maternity photos, followed by newborn photos, followed by the annual family photos…and life goes on. From an outsiders perspective it’s easy to see the changes. Confidence growing as they become more skilled in their jobs and industries. Seeing priorities change from perfect eyelashes to which car seat they should buy. It is such a beautiful process…life.
I am honored to be working with Jordan’s family again, and I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoyed getting to know Will. I can see why Jordan fell for him. They are so stinkin’ good for each other! It’s been a tough year for all of us, and I’m glad they have each other to lean on. No one would have guessed they would have to move their perfect wedding due to a global pandemic. This just gives us more time to look forward to the fun times ahead! And an excuse to stay home and cuddle with our loved ones this winter. :)
