Ok so quick truth. I 100% depend on Meredith to help me narrow down my images for blog posts. I usually give her like 200 – 250 favorites and she is SUPPOSED to be more judgemental to get it down to a reasonable number for me. Mer, I love you, but you failed on this one big time lol! This is an unreasonably long blog post filled with so many wonderful moments, memories, fabulous food and gorgeous florals. But first, we head out to Pickneyville, IL for an intimate sunset ceremony on the family farm. Julie and Nate exchanged vows overlooking the river while a small group of family and close friends looked on. Although they logistically couldn’t use it for their wedding day, it was important to Julie to incorporate a place that is so meaningful to both her and Nate.

Old school games are the best.
Guests enjoyed some nice country BBQ to round out a gorgeous evening.
I could sit on this porch every day.
Jumping forward a couple of days to the wedding day at Silver Oaks Chateau! Definitely a little less “country” lol.
Gorgeous Julie!
Now these are what I call smiles!
Nate and the guys had a little jam session going on down the hall. I know absolutely nothing about banjos, but I do know that Nate’s fancy banjo was his wedding gift from Julie. It was really pretty with the mother or pearl inlays in the neck.
Jam sesh on break…let’s get this wedding day started!
These corals and poppies are so pretty together! As are the ladies wearing them. :)
Next we have our handsome gentlemen.
OMG I love this one.
This winding path at Silver Oaks is truly the perfect photo spot.
Love.
Time to get married!
Julie and Nate gave the kids compasses so that they could always find their true north. There was not a dry eye in the house.
A little bluegrass to set the mood for cocktail hour!
Much of the laughter in these next few photos is centered around Julie-isms. So Julie is a super smart, super talented surgeon at Siteman Cancer Center. But apparently when it comes to cliche phrases, that big brain of hers just can’t seem to get them right. And laughter ensues!
As if the raw bar during cocktail hour wasn’t enough, the food stations inside for dinner were scrumptious! The food was completely over the top and amazing.
Party time!
If memory serves, I think a little Def Leopard is what really got Julie and her girls out on the dance floor. So fun!
A little cheesecake bar for dessert and some wine tubes and Bissinger’s chocolate to go ended the evening on a sweet note.
Thank you so much for letting us help you celebrate! With love, Liz and Meredith
