I was telling someone the other day that I have spent so much time at The Chase Park Plaza this year that it would have been reasonable to purchase a residence and become the permanent onsite photographer. Not a terrible gig right?! Fall out of bed and shoot a wedding down the hall? Now that’s the life! It is such a magnificent building and the people who work there are always so accommodating and kind to us. Definitely one of our favorite places to work! So you know how we sort of got off easy this summer in St. Louis? And by “easy” I mean very few days over 100 degrees with 90% humidity? Well, Kaitlin and Brad did not get so lucky and one of those very few days just so happened to be their wedding day. Classic St. Louis summer heat decided to grace us with it’s presence and man was it steamy! Luckily, we were at The Chase which means we had all kinds of wonderfully air conditioned inside spots at our disposal! Paired with a little tiny bit of Maryland Plaza and a rooftop view, I think the day worked out splendidly! Of course it never hurts to have a gorgeous couple and beautiful wedding design by the talented Kate and Company ladies. I hope you will agree!
Love this dress shot angle. I look crazy doing it and bridesmaids usually give me funny looks, but it is totally worth it in my opinion.
Sparkles. LOTS of them.
Just a few finishing makeup touches by the talented Lauren Wilkerson and it’s time to get Kaitlin into her gown!
Love the illusion neckline.
Meredith just horsing around with Brad and the guys. You can tell it’s going to be a fun day!
Perfection.
First look on the rooftop…as quickly as possible so that we don’t burst into flames. ;)
A few laughs here and there…
Thanks for a few minutes braving the heat everyone! Totally worth it.
Love these.
Ha! I have a whole series of these that are awesome together. Was tough to choose just one.
Love these fluffy peony and rose bouquets by Randy at Artistry Florist.
The ceiling of the Empire Room at The Chase…time to get married!
The new Mr and Mrs!
After hugging all guests and taking a few family photos it’s time to party!
How cool is this sushi bar with shrimp cocktail shots?!
Love the menus with golden lettering hanging from the back of the chivari chairs. You seriously CANNOT go wrong with Two Blue Doors at the helm of your stationary design. And that cute salad was to die for with it’s little ball of goat cheese rolled in pistachios.
Pass the champagne to toast the happy couple!
Proud parents.
Just being silly on the roof at sunset. Nothing to see here. ;)
Mmm…yummy way to wrap up the perfect night.
Congratulations and many happy years to you both! With love, Liz and Meredith
