If this event is a sign of what to expect this year in weddings, I am so excited to dig in! I mean, I don’t want it to rain every single wedding weekend, but if it is going to, as long as I have wonderful people like Kari and Ryan to work with I will embrace it. Silver Oaks is such a beautiful venue and the owners and staff truly care about making it an awesome experience. This is my second time working with the Longenecker family! I had the honor of shooting Kari’s sister Julie’s wedding back in 2011…TWENTY-ELEVEN people! It feels like it was just a couple of years ago. I hate to admit it, but it is true that time moves faster as we get older. Hopefully at least we have photos along the way to help jog our memories of specific moments in time…where we were, how we felt, who we were with…I will remember being wonderfully welcomed by these families on this beautiful day. Congratulations Kari and Ryan!
First photo, the gorgeous invitation suite by Kari’s super talented sister Julie of Ten Four Paper!
Next up, the simple Audrey Hepburn style Pronovias gown and loose and lovely bouquet by Festive Couture Floral. This family has all of the wedding hook-ups!
Fake fun!!! Thanks Julie. ;)
Gown time. This was totally made for you Kari. I couldn’t imagine you in fluffs and frills.
Being prepared with a cell phone fan is a good idea if you tend to run a little hot. ;)
Perfect.
Sisters!
I just remember in this moment how laid back everyone was. It was awesome!
Over to Ryan and the guys. Ryan was not all that into the whole photo thing, but put up with me. Thanks Ryan!
Little fist bump with dad. Let’s do this.
The patio at Silver Oaks Chateau is perfect. Which is good because the ground was so saturated that it was not a great idea to leave solid ground.
The party!
This is going to sound really strange, but I LOVE a good brown background. That neutral palette really lets the main subjects of the photo pop. I don’t need some crazy colorful background drawing attention away from these beautiful faces!
However we did have to walk onto the grass to use said background. We stood VERY still!
Here comes the bride…
Proud parents.
A few more quiet moments before the party…
These place cards were individually adorned with rose gold leafing. Julie you might be a little insane but I love it.
The florals were STUNNING!
Great toasts all around.
Mark from Festive Couture Floral and his lovely wife! You clean up well Mark…I never get to see you like this!
