If you have made it here, then get ready to stay for awhile because it will be tough to click away from this gorgeousness. Below you will find the largest blog we have ever assembled (and we tried REALLY hard to whittle it down to a reasonable size!) But when you have three photographers shooting the wedding of amazing friends, narrowing it down is tough. Like Kevlar tough. This is Liz talking for the three of us and right now I am feeling a bit overwhelmed and wish I had help. Where is everyone today when I need them?! :)
We are beyond flattered that Katie and Adam trusted us with their perfect day. I don’t think we could have done it justice no matter how well we shot it…you really had to be there to experience the amount of love and joy flowing through the day. But hopefully just a few of these will take you two back to those special moments for years to come. Katie – I’m saving some of the more, um “fun” shots for just you and Adam! And for future blackmail because a girl just never knows when she might need some leverage to get her hands on some delicious chocolate. ;)
A note to the spectacular team of vendors involved in this wedding: we bow to your greatness. Thank you for giving us such beauty to capture! Because of you, Katie and Adam were able to truly enjoy every moment of their wedding day without worry or fear of what was happening behind the scenes. They were able to fully experience their entire day and just live in the moment. But before we get into the moments, we are going to dig into the pretty things. Lots and lots of pretty things!
The invitation suite from Two Blue Doors was simply perfect. The calligraphy was used to create the gold embossed triple thick invitation and the delicate, laser cut lace envelope was exquisite.
Nothing like some glittery Jummy Choos to start the day off right!
I want one.
Katie – you better lock this little girl up in your closet under 24 hour surveillance! My altar ego can’t be trusted. ;)
Love the pretty little monogrammed bridesmaid clutches.
A little something blue.
Maybe the coolest welcome gift box I have ever seen! It included both Katie and Adam’s favorite movies, drinks, chocolate, playing cards, hangover kit, cake, snacks and more!
The lovely ladies of the wedding party!
It’s officially time to get dressed.
Meanwhile, Adam and the guys were hanging out enjoying a lunch of Lions Choice.
I think he likes Gift Number One.
AND Gift Number Two. ;)
As Katie and the girls head out to her parents’ house, Adam and the guys start getting all dapper.
Ahhh…Vera.
The ceremony took place at Katie’s parents’ house in a fully draped tent with a pink ombre aisle, hanging orchid strands and ghost chairs. There are no words.
Time to take that Vera off the hanger!
I don’t think that Katie enjoyed her gift at all. ;)
A little something special for mom had us all in tears.
Pretty Katie!
You know it’s a match made in heaven when everyone looks this happy and relaxed just minutes before the ceremony.
My husband Steve wanted a choir at our wedding, and I told him it was a great idea, but I had no idea where to start finding it. He should have fought for that one because it was awesome!
Love this ring bearer suitcase. And that’s Kate’s shadow down there in the corner. Hi Kate!
This face is perfectly representative of how the whole day felt.
Randy from Artistry executed this ombre aisle to perfection.
That face makes me think you are in trouble Adam. Is that the face she makes when she wants something?! Because it’s kind of irresistible.
Married! (Shot by the fabulous Meredith from behind the officiant! Thanks for hopping up there lady!)
#cuetheconfetti
Yay happy day!
I love Louie! Best dog ever. Behind my two little monsters of course.
And they’re off!
Katie’s family owns Bissingers Handcrafted Chocolatier, so we thought a quick stop for some hot chocolate in the Central West End was a no-brainer.
I’m personally proud of this one. It’s a geeky photo thing. ;)
Off to the park for a beautiful sunset.
This berry color is gorgeous on everyone. Just one girl’s opinion.
Love it. Can’t remember what actually got them to laugh…probably Kate being inappropriate again. Crazy Kate…you just never know with that one. ;)
Mmmm…yummy light. Lovely Katie.
The good thing about photographing friends…you know their buttons. ;)
The light was so pretty that I think this almost looks like a watercolor painting.
Could not have asked for a more beautiful sunset.
One of my favorites of the day compliments of Kate! (I can tell by the angle…she is like a foot taller than me. So is Meredith. Dammit.)
And we’re off to the Ritz! Time to party!
Custom built bar greeted guests as they entered the reception.
The place cards all gently hung on a wall of ribbons.
This Tuscan inspired appetizer station makes me hungry.
AND here we go…the dinner room. Fully draped from head to toe, this room guests were transported from a ballroom to an elegant tent within The Ritz Carlton. Slow clap for Exclusive Events and all of the designers involved in this masterpiece!
The laser cut wood place cards in the shapes of chickens, cows, fish and carrots let the staff at the Ritz know what to serve at each setting.
Gorgeous trio of cakes from The Cakery.
Monogrammed napkins at every setting.
The reaction.
I love this behind the scenes shot partly because I know everyone in it. As Katie and Adam enjoy a moment in their gorgeous ballroom, coordinator Shayna from St. Louis Wedding Consultants and Brian from Exclusive Events take a minute to give themselves a little pat on the back. Well deserved you two!
Get ready to wave your rally towels!
First course – trio of soups.
Awesome toasts.
Tear.
The bathrooms demanded guests get back out to the bar and the dance floor. Bossiest bathroom I’ve ever been in.
Time to dance!
Oh how I want to know what was said here!
Another one of my favorites.
Every guest received EVERY flavor of cake. This was mine before I devoured it. I was stuffed.
And the celebration continues!
Meanwhile, the cocktail bar is converted to a pastry shoppe.
Adam doesn’t look too sure about this.
Nope. Still doesn’t look too sure about this.
Besties.
Packed dance floor all night thanks to Arvell and Company!
For those of us not ready to call it a night, the party moved into the cigar lounge.
Meredith was a little under the weather, so just Kate and I partook in the cigars to end the evening. We’re silly. And tired. And naybe a little slap happy, but it was SUCH a perfect day.
Contrary to my usual self, I am basically speechless. I just sat here and stared at the keyboard. To say we were honored to be a part of it just doesn’t seem to cut it. I have no words. We love you guys! With love, Liz, Kate and Meredith
