Kim + John {by liz and kristie}

Awesomeness…need I say more?! Well, you know I will because I’m long winded, chatty and just can’t help myself. But when you see the photos you’ll probably decide it wasn’t necessary. I am truly honored to have photographed this wedding! Kim was absolutely awesome to work with, sharp witted, funny, smart and sassy. Yes, sassy. Which is probably why I love her the most. John and I didn’t get to meet until that day, but I got the same vibe from him. I can see these two in a fun bickering banter all day long.

Speaking of bickering, I’ve decided that people really are meant for each other. That is the only explanation for how these two work. It’s not just a same place same time luck scenario. As I’m sure you know, politics is one of the forbidden topics of conversation. Usually because some friendly banter quickly turns into the WWF with yelling and chair smashing. Well Kim and John work together in a politically based company, live together and still LOVE each other! Heck, just working with my husband on painting our living room usually means at least a little bit of bickering over whether or not the painters tape is in the right spot. And it was. Hee-hee! These two amazing people are truly meant for each other. You can see it in the way they look at each other and how energy feeds from one to the other.

Both the ceremony and reception took place at the Four Seasons in downtown St. Louis with one of the most amazing skyline views in the city. The ballroom was transformed into a perfect black and white space complete with lounge furniture lining the dance floor. Shelli Alred and her girls at Alred Wedding Consultants certainly made this an evening to remember. And now, after my not so necessary commentary…the photos.

Seriously now, how sweet is this?

How about these shoes?! And the amazing Lisa and Lois who styled the last Saint Louis Bride Magazine cover for me took the reins on Kim's makeup and hair. That low side knot is perfection.

I noticed this engraving in John's ring. I'm sure there is a story behind it that I hope they will share with us. Parents or grandparents 50th anniversary ring? 50 years - yowza!

Be still my heart! So much fabulous shininess...

The fabulous shoes didn't just slip on...thanks sis!

Kim and John's private moment together all dressed up. With me of course!

My favorite wall-o-vines and happy people! The red roses really pop against the green background!

Kim - you are stunning! And have the most amazing eyes...my brown ones are jealous.

LOVE the photo of Kim on the left! I think she almost looks playful.

The stationary was elegant yet modern. I love paper products. And M. Haley Design!

Both the ceremony and the reception took place at the Four Seasons. Modern lounge furniture with clean lines was brought in just for the occasion. A beautiful evening for a St. Louis rooftop view.

Kim and her dad coming down the candle lit aisle at sunset.

How about that view?!

As the sun went down under the horizon, the sky turned a beautiful blue.

So romantic.

Yay married!

The gorgeous place card table with submerged orchids.

And now...the reception. The Four Seasons ballroom completely transformed into a black and white dream land.

Wa-la!

Their tribute to loved ones who have passed made both Kristie and I a little teary-eyed.

Gorgeous detail on the cake.

Heartfelt toasts. You can tell these two are well loved.

Father and daughter...that's a good hug!

Congratulations Kim and John! Thanks for allowing me to be a part of such a beautiful day!
