I barely believe this as it is coming out of my fingers, but this was my very first wedding at Meadowbrook Country Club! shot a really awesome baby shower there once for a wedding planner friend, but after all these years this is my first wedding. I don’t get to have very many first like this in St. Louis anymore! It was lovely, as were Lauren and Andy and their families. I love emotional men (thanks Andy!) and Lauren is a beautiful southern belle through and through. It was a gorgeous day for an outdoor ceremony (besides some pretty crazy tornado like gusts of wind!)

Andy’s dad is a professional photographer, so the pressure was on! I am still touched by how lucky Lauren is to be loved SO MUCH by both her biological father and her step father. Families in this decade look different than they did 30-40 years ago. Not better or worse, just different. I have seen just about every variety of family dynamic through the years, but this one will stand out to me. Not only is Lauren is so close to both of them, but the two of them have a great relationship. It makes me a little teary just thinking about the overwhelming amount of love in the room. Enjoy!

As soon as I saw the donuts I KNEW they were from World Fair Donuts and I totally found a box under the table and gobbled one up. First, donuts are my weakness. Second, buttermilk cake donuts are my favorite. Third, who has the best cake donut in Stl? World’s Fair! Irresistible. Sorry guys. They are like crack for me. I have no control.
