As we are all over here running around like chickens with our heads cut off, I’m sitting down for a sec, eating a few fabulous goodies from some of our wonderful vendor friends, and reliving this pretty epic wedding day filled with crazy Canadians! JK of course. I mean crazy in a good way. ;) Big thank you on this one to my oh so talented guest photog Raquita Henderson from Pinxit Photo! It was a busy day and Kate and Meredith were off photographing another happy couple. Random, we actually all accidentally met up in Tower Grove Park for a few minutes. Quick little “go team!” moment and we were all on our way!
The ceremony took place on the terrace at the Caramel Room overlooking the new Stan Musial Bridge and the Mississippi River. Lindsay mentioned to me beforehand that her sister was getting married a month or so prior in the mountains of Canada and we had a pretty amusing chat about whether or not I could make the Mississippi River and downtown St. Louis skyline look as pretty as the lush mountainsides in Canada. Well, we are not magical unicorns, but I personally think Lindsay and Bobby’s day was absolutely gorgeous in it’s own way, and the amazing Simcha Lourie made sure no details were missed! Take a look and see if you agree…
Gorgeous foil pressed stationary from M Haley Design.
I like photos of selfies in the making. I feel like it’s an Inception kind of thing…photo in a photo in a photo…
Gorgeous. Just gorgeous.
Love this trio of ladies.
Proud pops.
And meanwhile across town…Raquita was hanging with Bobby and the guys. Love this groom details shot!
Tuxedo t shirts. Hilarious. Classic.
First look time!
And off to the park! I love the historic architecture and landscaping of Tower Grove Park…no mountains, but damn pretty either way. ;)
Sometimes when your cheeks start to hurt from smiling you need to mix things up a bit…
Raquita was playing with a fun lens that caused this really cool radial blur effect. Who needs photoshop?!
Once we got to the Caramel Room it was time to meet up with the other loves in these two’s lives…
Sigh…the florals from Randy at Artistry were stunning. And that view!
Ahhh…I remember this moment. These gorgeous ladies were wearing lovely gowns by Joanna August. They are wrap dresses which means that technically the skirt isn’t really connected until the waist. And it was quite windy! You get the drift. ;)
September sunset in downtown St. Louis.
Let the party begin! And this was a serious party. Wait for it…
Starting with a yummy seafood bar with oysters, shrimp and more treats.
Chicken and waffles and hush puppies I believe? Mmmmm…
Quick little escape to the rooftop!
And then back in to capture the perfection of this ballroom before the guests join us…
The Cakery Bakery! And adorable custom topper.
Love this classic ivory and gold room…SO MUCH!
This group was all about the dance floor! Killer party!
Dad had this public speaking thing in the bag…I believe for a large portion of the speech he was referring to Lindsay’s love of her life…and we later found out his name is Stanley and he is a cute little fur ball. ;)
That said, Lindsay’s sister Ashley totally killed it with a custom song from their childhood.
And last but not least, Bobby’s brother. Seriously awesome speeches from everyone in this group! From what I could tell both families are all hockey through and through…and there may have been a story about Bobby missing a shot back in high school with the goalie pulled. And a special wish hoping he gets it right the next time they pull the goalie. Hee!
Flash mob!
And it continued all night long…
Love this father/son song with Bobby’s dad and brothers.
Everyone loves the guy with the selfie stick.
The night actually continued back out to the bar area with a dueling piano after party. I’m sparing everyone these REALLY late night shots. ;)
So honored to have been a part of this crazy fun day with such awesome families! Happy holidays to you all! With love, Liz
