Although words are quite potent, it is totally true that actions speak louder than words. One of the biggest compliments we are ever given: When families are happy about the whole wedding photography experience, another family member gets engaged and they choose us again! Seriously, so honored. Alex’s sister Alyssa got married in 2012 and now they are expecting a little one! And side note: I don’t know what is with the water in Okawville, IL but they seriously breed beautiful people over there. Olivia, you looked flawless. If you don’t believe me, then check this post out and then tell me what you think! The girls started their morning with hair and makeup at The Final Cut.
And then we headed back in Okawville for everyone to have lunch and get ready. It was actually pretty chilly and WINDY! These tree limbs kept blowing around everywhere refusing to cooperate with me. Anyone looking outside would have thought it was a comedy act and I probably would have ended up on YouTube. But it was worth it. Love these shoes!
Headed back inside where things stay where I put them. ;)
Time to get dressed.
Totally radiant!
Olivia was immediately ready to dance party!
Alex is known for his doodles.
One can never go wrong with a little blue box.
Bouquet by the talented mother of the groom Annette owner of Annette’s Flowers and Gifts!
Once the girls were all ready to go I headed over to Olivia and Alex’s log cabin (yes, you heard me. Log cabin!) to see what the guys were up to.
Alex losing big at poker on his wedding day.
And leading the groomsmen in to battle.
They were having fun with face swapping in Snapchat when Alex got a reminder…
And off to church we go!
Unity tree! This was a first for me. And fitting since Alex is a landscape architect.
Married!
Horse and carriage surprise.
How cute are these littles?
The bike they rode for their engagement session made another appearance.
And it’s off to RBM Golf Course for photo time! It may look all sunny and comfy, but it was NOT warm. I would say 30 mph gusts perhaps?! My fingers started to go numb if that tells you anything. But everyone was totally awesome about getting a little windblown!
Ok, so I’m not sure what went wrong here, but when the guys did a little cheer with the bouquets, one groomsmen didn’t get the message. He literally threw the bouquet in the air and everyone tried to save it…
…unsuccessfully. But I have a pretty funny series of photos thanks to that dude. ;)
The late afternoon light coming through the trees was perfect.
Thinking warm thoughts. ;)
I love that you would never think this was winter on a golf course.
And we are off to the St. Libory American Legion for dinner and dancing! Seriously, those ladies know how to make fried chicken. Diet-schmiet.
I will not divulge how many of those donut holes jumped into my mouth.
This little one was having the time of her life with the pom wands from the exit.
Because every mother son dance ends in a polka. ;)
Thank you all so much for having me back over to Okawville! I was totally serious, I am so grateful and so flattered. It was an absolutely perfect day! With love, liz
