I couldn’t wait to blog this one! I came home from this wedding and totally, 100% bragged to Kate, Kristie and my husband Steve that I had just shot the wedding of the nicest people in the world. From the number of times both Sarah and Dan asked me how I was doing, whether or not I needed anything, did I eat, was I thirsty, did I know how to get there…I almost felt like it was MY wedding day. As a matter of fact, I don’t think anyone even catered to me that much on my wedding day! I was flattered, thankful, and terribly embarrassed by their kindness all day long.
It poured down rain all morning but cleared up leaving us a bright and sunny afternoon for some photos! It also left us with some crazy thick, humid air and a seriously soggy landscape. And once again, I was so grateful for these two and their easygoing attitudes! Sarah did not even think twice when I asked her to walk into the equivalent of a swamp in her Jimmy Choos. My shoes and pants were soaked up to my knees by the time we were done, but not a single concern or complaint voiced by these two. It was their wedding day and they were going to soak up every bit of awesomeness from it!
So without further adieu, the photos…starting with the lovely Vera Wang gown and Jimmy Choo pumps!
Welcome to one of my favorite ring shots of all time. However, I did not notice until closer inspection during editing that you can CLEARLY see my reflection in Dan’s ring. So funny…I was so focused on FOCUSING and holding my breath to get the shot that I did not remotely notice myself in there!
Cheree Berry did a beautiful job on the invitations.
You are gorgeous Sarah!
Dan is a sock guy. Told me himself. Check out these babies…
Awesome watch Sarah gave Dan as a wedding gift!
I will never tire of the classic tux with bow tie. It will always be one of my favorites.
Dan’s card and gift definitely touched Sarah.
First look!
And off to the Bogey Club…into the sogginess! But you’d never know. The light was beautiful for these shots.
LOVE Sarah’s bouquet by Bloomin’ Buckets! Really, really love!
Not everyone can pull this off, but Sarah did it perfectly.
I think these are so romantic. It feels like I’m viewing a very private, quite moment.
I had a few minutes before the ceremony to take a couple of quick table shots. So pretty!
Sarah and her mom sharing a moment just before the ceremony begins…
Neil Dixon Smith Guitarrista. He is based in Chicago but is happy to travel. Beautiful sound. Highly recommend!
The ceremony was short, sweet and touching. Sarah’s dad…
Sarah drug Dan all the way down the aisle. I loved it!
Even the flower girl’s bouquets were adorable!
And back to pretty tablescapes…
The photo on the right kind of weirds me out, but in a good way. I think it looks like I used photoshop to put a sharp image of a table into a frame. But it’s au natural!
The Bogey Club at dusk. My first time there and it was a beautiful backdrop for a wedding.
In my book, a perfect toast brings it’s subjects to tears and encourages them to laugh through them. These were perfect toasts.
Congratulations Sarah and Dan! Your wedding day was gorgeous but doesn’t hold a candle to how beautiful you are as people. Thank you for everything! With love, Liz
