Life is weird right now. I really couldn’t think of any other way to start typing. It would be strange to post my usual wedding intro and not acknowledge that fact, and yet I feel like I want to give you an escape into this beautiful wedding wonderland without hindrance. I’ve always thought of photographs as a way of traveling through time. Sometimes that is more clear than others. For instance when you look at the photo of a lost loved one and remember what you were doing when that photo was taken, how you felt, how the food tasted and the air smelled. Every now and then I got caught up in the wedding craziness and start to think it’s all a bunch of silly hoopla, and then I remember that I am not only an artist but also historian and magical time travel genius. Allow me to take you back to fall. The air was brisk, the sun was low but still warm and you had the ability to touch and feel the special people in your lives. Hugs and handshakes were normal. We shared drinks and food over lively and sometimes drunken conversations. There was dancing and celebrating and glasses clinking. It was all so beautiful…and will be again one day soon. And I promise you, when we can hug again, the hugs will be stronger. When we can share a meal together again the food will taste better. And when we can see each other in the flesh we will appreciate every wrinkle, every eye twinkle and every flash of a smile so much more. Until then, love you all and stay safe out there!
I know it’s going to be a good day when the ladies are already in for a morning dance party.
