Tracy and Andrew had a gorgeous, classic St. Louis wedding day in so many ways! However, if I had to put my finger on the one thing that screams St. Louis I would go with…the WEATHER! As of that morning, the weather forecast was for a day full of rain and storms. I did my usual scouting the night before and had a game plan for dark cloudy skies and some pouring rain. At the very least I thought if we lucked out on the rain it was going to be cloudy all day. Guess what?! As all St. Louisans know, the weather is a fickle mistress, reserving the right to change her mind at a moment’s notice. And in this scenario, we are so glad that she did! Or at least she waited until we were in a nice, safe, dry, indoor reception spot to bring on the really bad stuff. Which made for some interesting photos and a memorable evening!
Tracy has this unique old Hollywood look. I am totally jealous.
SO lovely!
Awesome dad first look. I’ve had a couple of really good ones this year that almost made me lose it.
You just want to smile back at her right?!
I jetted off to St. Gabriel to see what Andrew and the guys were up to. Perfectly chill!
The guests began pouring in…
And here she comes!
Take note guys: Andrew had a little extra special surprise for Tracy when they exchanged rings…an extra wedding band! Not a bad way to start married life. Just sayin.
Check out this dreary cloudy day we had. ;)
Off to Ted Drewes to take advantage of the complimentary wedding day concretes!
My first time getting to use this spot and I kinda love it.
You two are perfect! I could see you as little bride and groom cake toppers. Is that weird?!
Off to the Grand Basin in Forest Park where Tracy and Andrew got engaged on Art Hill. Again note the big scary terrible clouds.
Little double exposure fun while I waited for a cloud to roll in. Thanks for the great blooms to work with Belli Fiori!
Off to one of my favorite reception locations – the Forest Park Visitors Center. Note: we pretty much scurried there to beat a big scary wall cloud that finally decided to grace us with it’s presence. How cute are these driftwood place card holders?!
Love that Tracy’s color scheme was spot on with the 2016 Pantone colors of the year!
Yum.
I peeked my head out the door to get this. Honestly, this is barely photoshopped in any way shape or form. It looked like the end of the world out there.
But inside it was a picture perfect party!
A first: That bouquet landed perfectly in the ceiling drape! I would have taken more photos but DJ friend extraordinaire Chris Johnson used my flash stand to poke at it to get it down. I mean I suggested it – I don’t want it to sound like it was his fault or anything. Love that dude.
I spent a good 10 minutes in a poncho for this shot, but I think it was totally worth it. I mean, when you have a clock tower and lightening it was would be a crime not to at least TRY to get a Back to the Future shot am I right?!
Congratulations you guys! I loved every minute of it! With love, Liz
