Ever meet someone you just seem to “click” with? It could be a random encounter at a grocery store in the checkout line or a friend of a friend at a cocktail hour. I never know when I’m going to come across someone that I really just WANT to keep talking with. I think being open to that happening is a trait I inherited from my mother. It’s been making my dad crazy for over 50 years. But I think it’s part of the human experience to let down our giant barriers, decrease our personal space bubble and show genuine interest in each other!
When Amy walked into my life (I actually think it was technically a phone call) I had one of those experiences. She is a thoughtful, heart on her sleeve kind of soul. She even brought Meredith and I carrot cupcakes on HER and Drew’s wedding day! No pressure on any of our other clients, but if anyone else does present us with cupcakes we won’t complain…just sayin. ;) I didn’t meet Drew until the wedding day but I can see why these two go together. Drew was just as fun and easygoing as Amy. So we had a really fun day! Somewhere along the way we figured out that both Amy and I know every word to the Humpty Dance. I’m just sad we had to leave prior to a karaoke rendition. :) So let’s dig in starting with Amy’s gorgeous gown!
The inside of Drew’s ring says “you win.” The story (as I remember it!): Amy and Drew met at a Halloween party. As with any good Halloween party, there was a costume contest involved. Drew and his friends discussed giving the prize to the hottest girl at the party when in walked Amy and Drew said… “You win!” The details are fuzzy but I think I’m close!
Mama hug.
Time to get dressed!
Amy reading her card from Drew. Tear.
And off to the Shrine of St. Joesph! Here she comes…
Behind the big wooden doors…thank you Meredith. Lovely Amy and her dad.
On the other side of the doors, at the end of a long aisle, a special moment with Amy’s mom and Drew.
The Shrine of St. Joseph.
Married!
Gorgeous flowers by our good friend Lisa at Belli Fiori.
The gorgeous wedding party. I love the neutral colors!
Again, I’ve lost control. This seems to be happening a lot lately. Not the butt grabbing, just the control losing.
Love this one.
Groom photo bomb! Nice air Drew.
The splits in a bridesmaid dress, shoeless on concrete. Now THAT is dedication!
Off to Kemoll’s! Classic, beautiful style.
Mmmm…Gooey Louie. Just looking at that makes me hungry. I LOVE those things. I’m sad they don’t sell the small ones daily anymore…I never felt bad eating the little one as a regular snack. Buying an entire one is a much bigger commitment. But still worth every bite! Even if it does go straight to my thighs.
LOVE this lace covered cake from the Cakery Bakery!
Good friends, good stories, lots of smiles and a few tears.
Our view just after sunset.
A little reflection fun during dinner.
Congratulations Amy and Drew! We had a blast with you both! With love, Liz and Meredith
