I remember every wedding I shoot. Maybe not every little detail, but I definitely have specific memories tied to 10 years worth of photographing wedding days. It’s funny how our brain decides to store certain things as if they have been branded in there with a hot iron, yet other thoughts fly in and out as fast as we can think them. Memories are slippery little suckers! I will never understand how I can remember who had the chocolate strawberry covered cake 8 years ago, but I can’t come up with what I did last weekend.
I have two definite memories that I know will stick from Heather and Michael’s wedding. The first is “FAKE FUN!” A term Michael and his groomsmen shouted gallantly with big smiles and open arms every time I put them in front of the camera. Which I came to love quickly as it made all of us laugh repeatedly, maybe even more each time it was pronounced into the air. The second is Heather’s face atop a chair flying through the air above the crowd. I love the Hora and the opportunity it creates for me as a photojournalist. While Michael looks as if he is having the time of his life, Heather looks afraid her life! It’s a priceless moment I will remember forever.
Now…photos shall we? Starting with Heather’s beautiful lace edged veil.
AND her sparkly, glittery Jimmy Choo’s!
I don’t think we have started Fake Fun yet, but it’s close…
Getting prepped and ready for the first look.
Here she comes…
Michael may or may not have shed few tears here…I will let you come to your own conclusion. You owe me one Michael! ;)
Off to take some fun (and fake fun) photos!
Beautiful bouquets by Sisters Flowers.
LOVE coral garden roses.
I never know what is going to happen. No matter how much I plan, I sometimes lose control. And I love it!
So pretty Heather!
And back to the Renaissance Grand to get married!
Here she comes…
The new Mr and Mrs!
The beautiful Statler Ballroom at the Renaissance Grand. I love this historic space.
Pretty floral cake by the Cakery Bakery!
It’s time to relive that Hora memory…and they’re off!
Congratulations you two! I had a wonderful time celebrating with you! With love, Liz
