Sweet, sweet, sweetie. Don’t you just want to squish his cheeks!?! I mean. Really.
I’m excited to share this session with with you, not only because we captured lots of adorableness – but because I’d like to tell you about my NEW SESSION OPTION for newborn babies this year – and this session will give you a great idea of what to expect.
For many years, I’ve had two newborn session types – shooting at our studio in the Central West End, or shooting in the comfort of baby’s home. I’ve honestly struggled with a decision – should I offer and specialize in only one. > A more modern, simplistic appeal to baby’s studio session. > Or a more lifestyle approach in baby’s home.
But you know what – I love both. And maybe so do you!
I’ve had such great feedback from parents who have combined the two sessions this year – starting the first with just baby alone … giving Mom a little more recovery time (and maybe big sibling too!), yet still capturing baby’s portraits during that precious first week. Then, part two in home with the family, capturing baby’s nursery, first home, and all the family snuggles. We can split the session just days apart, or weeks – your choice!
So take a peek at William’s first couple weeks of life. First in studio …
and at home the following week …
(sidenote: I’m obsessed with this ^ wallpaper ceiling. love. love. love)
(and I’m also obsessed with this ^ image. the burp cloth draped over one chair. the fur over the other. not done on purpose. just a slice of life.)
If you’re expecting yourself and trying to decide what to do for your baby’s first photos, I’d love to have you get in touch and let me answer any questions you may have. It can seem so overwhelming with baby’s to-do-list before arrival (when all you want to do is sleep!), but finding a photographer that is the right style and fit for you is an important one. I’m always happy to help, even if the answer is not me. (but I hope it is ;)
Thanks for popping by :) Kristie
