Emily and Bill made our jobs insanely easy on their wedding day. They are both not only awesomely expressive people, but they are totally, 100% into each other. When we shot their portraits after the ceremony we felt like we had plenty of great stuff within the first 3 minutes! No joke. With little to no direction these two hugged, laughed, nuzzled, and loved on each other. This is NOT normal people! So many couples come in to meet with us and tell us they are bad at having their photos taken together. You know why? Because they have barely ever done it! How can you be good at something you almost never do?! We’ve had so many say that they will never look like the people on this blog. You know what? We blog every single wedding we shoot. So they will! But usually it takes awhile to get there. A little warm up period if you will. Both for us to figure out what works for you, looks best on you, makes you the most comfortable and the most sense for your respective heights and for you to get used to the clicking and the light direction. So if you have a wedding coming up, do not fear! It’s going to be ok. As long as you are happy, love the crap out of each other and make it a mental goal to enjoy every minute of your wedding day with your other half, you are going to have great wedding photos! That said, take a look at these two naturals. ;)
So much pretty stuff. I don’t know that I will ever get tired of blush and gold! I love this classic combo. It was awesome working with our friends over at Belli Fiori on this one!
This is Emily. She is stunning right?!
All of the lovely ladies in their adorable robes!
The bridesmaids got together ahead of time and compiled photos of times they had each spent with Emily through the years. Memories of college, road trips, growing up, all kinds of shenanigans…it was possibly the best gift I have ever seen. I want one! One with my own girlfriends. Not Emily’s. That would be weird. ;)
Time to put on the beautiful Theia gown.
So lovely!
Those faces say it all.
Lovely layers of ruffles…
Enough girliness – time to meet Bill! Mer met up with Bill and the guys at his parents house just down the street.
And then they headed over to Old Warson Country Club to relax and have a cocktail.
Such a cutie.
A little behind the scenes selfie stick action right before they headed downstairs to the ceremony!
Awww…
Their personal ceremony was filled with laughs and tears.
Married!
Such a fun group!
The reception on the patio at Old Warson. Beautiful work from the ladies at Events Luxe and Table 10 Events!
Donut tower instead of cake! My weakness. I feel like I can smell them through the computer screen and just looking at them is making me think I’m hitting Worlds Fair Donuts on the way home. Crap.
Here they come!
Awesome toasts get reactions like these.
Dancing under the stars. And twinkle lights. ;)
A wedding first for Mer and I: Chinese Lion Dance! These guys were amazing!
Thank you both so much for allowing us to be part of your beautiful day! With love, Liz + Meredith
