This year started off sunny and beautiful! And then mother nature decided a thunderstorm a day was a great way to spend most of spring. Could this weather be any weirder?! I mean yeah, I guess we could have a Midwestern hurricane. That would be weirder. But back before my Accuweather weather app started showing a sun with a thundercloud every day of the week, there was Jordan and Adam’s wedding day. It was perfect! In more ways than one. ;) Take a look! Love these fun scripty invitations with hand torn edges.

And all of Jordan’s shiny things.

Jordan’s dress was one of my recent favorites! She apparently did quite a bit to customize it with some horse hair additions to give the peplum a little volume. And the cathedral veil with lace edge was the perfect finishing touch.

Bridesmaids robes have been a trend for awhile now, but this is the first time I have seen this watercolor pattern and it is lovely! I may need to go find myself one…

See what I was saying about the details on this gown?!

Absolutely gorgeous Jordan. (PS – LOVE the new rooms at the Renaissance Grand!)

Then I went to go spend a few minutes with Adam and the guys just a couple of floors away. This was a TALL group of groomsmen! And for those of you reading who haven’t met me, I am five foot two on a good day. Generally, shooting up someone’s nose is considered a bad angle when it comes to photography. So I backed myself up into corners and stood on windowsills and chairs. Problem solving at its best.

I wonder how many views that “how to tie a bow tie” YouTube video has gotten in the last few years?

First look!

Not only did they do a first look, but they also read their vows they wrote to each other. An awesome idea that I totally hope to see more of in the future.

Off for a few more pretty city architecture shots with the wedding party!

Followed by a pretty little corner of Tower Grove park. I had to scour in my scouting to find a spot that actually had some green stuff. Yay for holly!

And then we were off to Graham Chapel at Wash U for their ceremony. There were just a few pretty little blooming trees starting to bud…

Married! Time to party.

And what better way to kick off a party than with a champagne girl!

I never tire of the beautiful Crystal Ballroom at the Renaissance Grand.

How about these cute little flamingo guys as a cake topper?!

Such a classic, beautiful ballroom. I am totally biased.

At the last minute, the Best Man was unable to make it to the wedding, but he had a pretty darn good reason. He and his wife just had a baby a day or two before! So from across the country, he got all dressed up in his tux and videotaped his speech. They brought in a TV to play it for the couple and guests. Sweetest and funniest thing ever.

Jordan and Adam share their anniversary with her dad’s birthday. That shold make it harder to forget right?! I mean, not that anyone in the history of everyone has ever forgotten an anniversary. ;)

And when the glow sticks come out you KNOW it’s time to party!

So much fun! Congratulations to you both! With love, Liz
