I am fresh off a short few little days on the beach and diving right back into the madness! The lovely lovely madness of wedding season! But before I head out to scout for my next pretty little wedding tomorrow, I wanted to share the fun-filled wedding of Michelle and Joe! After shooting their engagement session last summer, I knew it was going to be an awesome day working with these two. They both have these giant, lovably warm smiles that tricked Meredith and I into taking way too many photos of them. When people look this happy it’s tough to stopping clicking away at the shutter! Photographers call it “over-shooting”. As in “They are so cute I am totally over-shooting this.” :) We started off the day with everyone hanging out and getting ready at Moulin, where they also help their ceremony and reception. Take a look-see!
Michelle’s grandmother’s pin.
Love this angle for dresses that are all fun and fluffy at the bottom!
Michelle is what we call a “face maker.” I mean, we had to keep a few just for the fun of it. ;)
Dress time.
A little love with mom.
LOVE this dramatic lighting. Moulin can be a little tough for shooting becuase there isn’t a ton of light to be had, but what there is of it is beautiful.
While I finished up a few portraits of Michelle and the girls, Meredith was upstairs at the bar hanging out with smiley Joe and the guys.
And after a quick and lovely first look…
We were off to the park! This was early March so still no real greenery to work with, but we totally made it work for us.
After that we headed off to a new spot I found while doing my weekly driving in circles around the city. Love finding fun new cool locations! And this mossy covered wall totally counts as a fun new spot.
Ok one last quick jump off the bus on our way back to get these two hitched.
Meredith took one of my favorite photos of the day! That’s hers on the right with their smiley mouths all nuzzled in together. Awesome right?! That’s the benefit of two photographers on your wedding day. You get plenty with one, but you can get some different takes on the exact same thing with two!
Dudes are funny.
Mer and I snuck in to get a few shots of the reception set up right before the ceremony since guests would be headed into the space immediately after. Love the detail work on this pretty cake!
Time to head down to the ceremony. Let’s get this show on the road!
Face maker. ;)
Since we already had some reception detail shots, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to let these two escape to the rooftop for a few minutes.
And back to the party! Time for your favorite people to say nice things about you. And maybe even embarrass you just a little.
Par-tay!
Bouquet and garter toss were great this time around. Turns out there were a few people who were really gunning for them.
These two are an actual couple. Isn’t this sweet?!
Such an amazing day! Thanks for letting us enjoy all of the fun moments with you guys! With love, Liz + Meredith
