Kate + Patrick {by liz}

This is absolutely 100% my busiest and most stressful time of year. It’s been quite awhile since I’ve had a weekend off! And without “catchup weeks” in there, I start to fall a wee bit behind on my editing and turn around time. It’s much easier to keep up in February! The good thing about this though, is that sometimes enough times goes by between when I shoot and when I really get into the editing that I feel like I’m back in the day remembering all of the neat moments and cool things that happened. I felt that way about this one for sure!

Kate and Patrick are so comfortable with each other and their natural, relaxed style ruled the day from beginning to end. No drama, panic, stress or any other emotion in that general genre found it’s way into this wedding day. Enjoy the pics!

Kate kept everything on the wedding day simple and laid back…but she still managed to sneak in a little bit of sparkle here and there. :)

I even love flat shoes. Especially when they are shiny!

I like dresses with laces or buttons. Gives me more time to get some shots of the process. Seriously, you know how long a zipper takes to pull up? 1.5 seconds at most. I mean, I am pretty good but not always THAT good!

Awwww…makes me tear up every time. I’m a sap.

Patrick calling Kate to come down and see him! Look at how his face lights up.

I actually really liked that random spot behind the hotel, but now off to Tower Grove Park for some fun, sunny stuff!

One of my fave portraits of the day. These two are naturals. So relaxed with each other.

Love.

In the 1961 Bently from Best Transportation and off to Oliva on the Hill!

The colors and textures at Oliva on the Hill are so fun to work with.

Holy awesome cake batman! All I’ve had today is a granola bar. My mouth just started watering. Knowing that it is from Sugaree only makes the cravings worse.

Ok, just one more cake photo…mmmmmm…

Ceremony time! Lamira Martin always does a wonderful job officiating. She is one of my personal favorite officiants in the area!

Proud parents.

The absolute best glass stomping photo I have ever taken. Tongue out determination to smash the crap out of that thing!

The married couple!

Just a few more portraits during cocktail hour.

A quick cheers and then back in to talk with and hug on some friends and family.

I mean, it’s Oliva. So a photo of the marinated olives seems quite appropriate.

Love the rustic, warm and inviting table settings. Props to Frankie Peltiere at Festive Atmospheres for the beautiful florals!

The toasts fetched some tears…

And some smiles…

Dancing the night away under the stars with rockin DJ Jimmy Hussey…congrats Kate and Patrick!
