They say it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day… if that is true then Katie and Adam got enough luck showered down upon them to last a lifetime! And hail… that has to mean extra good luck, right?! Katie and Adam had the best possible attitude about the surprise storm and never let it dampen their spirits. We got out the umbrellas and headed for cover and still managed to get the arch in a shot or two for Katie! The day started, as it always does, with the calm before the storm… the getting ready details.
oooh… shiny!!
and finally Adam…
let’s just say it was a little warm where we were…
love these lion knockers and cute flower cones by Belli Fiori
these flower girls know how to travel in style… carried by tuxedoed men :)
married!
I usually do not blog family photos, but these 2 little girls stole my heart with their giggles
by this time the sky was getting black…. we very tentatively stepped outside the church for a coupe shots and then hopped in the bus!
en route to the city garden the worst of the rain and hail came down in torrents… we waited in cars until it lightened a little and then braved it with rain gear on my cameras and umbrellas all around!
then headed for cover at Washington University’s Brookings Hall
beautiful coral, pink, and green bouquets and bouts!
We escaped just as the rain kicked up again and headed to the Hilton Frontenac for the reception
love these little forks
pretty gold tones filled the room
hand painted cherry blossoms
LOVE this one
Go Katie Go!! The Boom Band is really great at getting the crowd involved
