Not quite done with our fall flashback series just yet! We still have a few amazing wedding days to showcase, and this is definitely one of them! One of my favorite things about this couple: genuineness. They both exude this heart-on-the-sleeve sort of openness that evokes emotion in everyone around them. Whether that emotion includes laughter or tears, there is no question that everyone “feels” a little something extra when these two are in the room.
The wedding day itself included plenty of unique details that really made it special to them! Since Gaetano is a pilot, they created little paper airplane place cards, and they celebrated their Italian heritage with the largest table of homemade Italian cookies I have ever seen! We even went back to take a few photos where they lived across from each other in college at SLU…where it all began. Enjoy the loveliness!
I’m going to be sad when this colorful shoe trend ends. I really love it! Maybe it will stick around forever and ever…
…like shiny things.
Katie getting a little help with her gift from Gaetano.
So pretty! Katie has sparkly eyes.
Special moment with mom and dad.
Off to the SLU College Church…here comes the bride!
It really is one of the most amazing churches in St. Louis. I never get tired of working there.
Mr and Mrs. Falcone!
We spent most of our time in Midtown since they met at SLU and all of the festivities were happening in Midtown and Downtown St. Louis. Having a little fun dodging traffic here in Grand Center.
This is where it all began…they each lived on opposite sides of this driveway in college.
SLU grounds…pretty!
Random gray wall I like. These are the kinds of things I find (and get excited about) that make my husband think I’m crazy. Whether or not I am actually crazy is still in debate.
A little goofing around in the park!
And off to Windows on Washington to continue the festivities!
Pretty pearl covered cake by Artistry on Cakes!
And all kinds of fun little details. Love the lantern centerpieces too!
A little fun with reflections while capturing the view.
I lost count of how many times Katie shed a tear or two throughout this day. All happy tears of course! It was usually that cry/laugh combo. I love those together.
Beautiful day! Thank you both so much for having me! I’m sad you had to move to Seattle immediately afterwards, but I’m happy to hear you will be coming back soon! With love, Liz
