This group was just downright fun! Mer and I were discussing the guys and their morning of Macarena followed by an afternoon of literally skipping around the Missouri Botanical Garden. It is just so fun to be around happy wedding day people! So much time and energy is spent talking about the hyping the drama around weddings…the bridezillas, the crazy mother in law, the jealous sister…the entertainment industry has had a field day with it. Don’t get me wrong, those things sometimes exist and weddings do tend to be highly emotional events in turn bringing out both the best and the worst in people, but overall that’s not real life. Most of my clients are a lot like Katie and Kyle! Kind, loving, and just downright happy to be marrying the love of their life. Parents are generally sad to see their kids all grown up, but so happy to see someone else love them as much as they do. My faith in humanity is regularly restored when I’m surrounded by this love. Thank you all for being wonderful!
Katie and the girls started off the day getting ready at her parent’s home. And I started off the day rearranging some of their furniture for detail photos (thanks for humoring me!!!)
Final touches before it’s time to get dressed. Brides regularly tell me that they don’t need photos of themselves with no makeup. We generally agree! I mean, I am happy to show up as early as you would like for me to start, but my goal is a few final finishing touch photos before go time!
The squad.
OMG so pretty.
Mother and daughters. I love this moment so much.
This is Katie giving me the “can you believe he wrote this much?!” look.
And across town Meredith was hanging with Kyle and the guys. I think this koozie sums up the vibe nicely!
Seriously I haven’t seen anyone do the Macarena in a good 15 years. This is thoroughly entertaining.
Um, so I don’t know about this guys. Maybe we should go back to dancing.
ALL of the smiles.
Internet vote! Are these shoes brown? The correct answer is no. :)
Off to Missouri Botanical Garden!
Skippity skip!
We had a little bit of sun mixed with clouds that day. Love how the light is hitting the ladies on this happy shot!
Such good sports. Thanks guys!
I don’t include very many family photos in our blogs, but when one in between moment is this cute it’s a must.
That is one proud looking pops.
Happy tears all around.
Woo hoo!
A few final portraits on the way back to the cocktail hour…
Let’s party!
I have never seen someone sing into a tie. Beer bottle yes. Tie no. Creativity appreciated!
Congratulations to you both! It was such a lovely day and we were totally honored to be there! With love, Liz + Meredith
VENDOR LOVE
Beautiful photos. The two of you are commended for the wonderful photography of our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding. Thank you very much.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a kind comment! It was such a beautiful day and both families were absolutely lovely to work with. We are flattered!
