I just have a couple more fall flashbacks that I need to share with you all! For Lauren and Doc I’m specifically trying to do it before their 1 year anniversary. Which is coming up in September. :) I clearly remember this day. It was one of the only times all year long that everything, all day, happened ON TIME without crazy rushing around to make it happen. For those of you currently wedding planning, my advice is to generally accept the undeniable fact that not everything is going to happen on schedule no matter how much planning you do! This is a 1 in 25 kind of rarity. It was partially this way because they didn’t try to squeeze too much in. Which is always tempting because you just have ONE wedding day! Lauren and Doc were so laid back, calm, happy and just enjoyed their wedding day! Which made taking their photographs and capturing natural, relaxed and genuine moments so easy for Kristie and I. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
As usual, I’m starting with the shiny stuff! Which in this case, includes the shoes.
Lauren getting dressed at her parents house. Lauren and Doc live in Los Angeles now but are originally from St. Louis.
So pretty!
Off to the Old Cathedral…
Kristie hanging at the Chase with Doc and the guys.
Nice father son moment! I actually love bow ties because they give us more opportunities to get shots like this. Takes the guys longer to tie them. More complex. :)
And seriously, this is the very first time we have ever seen a champagne toast (not koozies, beer cans, bottles or plastic cups) by the GUYS. Any other groomsmen out there willing to consider this? :)
Final shot the ladies texted over to Doc before we left the house.
Little ringbearer looks lost. You can make it little buddy!
Here she comes!
There were a few of these throughout the day. All happy ones of course.
Married!
We made a really quick stop off at Busch Stadium for about 15 minutes with only Lauren and Doc. Turns out Doc had a little extra something special for Lauren.
It was an additional wedding band for the other side of her engagement ring! I think she liked it.
Off to the park for a few sunny portraits. It was still a bit crispy from our HOT summer last year, but some determined wildflowers still managed to bloom.
Love sunset light.
Love.
I will miss Central West End shots like this one. They are kind of historic now with both Rothschild’s and Duff’s gone forever.
The view of both the city and Forest Park from the terrace at the Chase is spectacular.
Time to have some cocktails!
Fun table number by age idea!
Such a fun night.
The party REALLY got going thanks to the Charles Glenn band!
Congratulations Lauren and Doc! Thanks for being so fun to work with! With love, Liz
