A couple of weeks ago I met Maggie and Austin out at her parents house in Eureka, MO. Mind you, the last time I was out that way I ended up itchy for DAYS after crawling around in fields taking photos of my former bride Erika and her horse Demon. So I knew how to dress this time around! The ground was a little mushy with all of the recent snow and rain but we sloshed through it and took some fun pics. I still managed to crawl around in a field but this time of year dealt with way less bugs!
I always try to encourage my couples to do something that really incorporates something about THEM into the photos. Whether that’s just their personal style, something they both like to do together, how they met, where they got engaged, etc. It makes each session (and each wedding day for that matter) extra special and unique!
Speaking of unique, try this on for size. These two BOTH played college sports at the University of Michigan. Talk about talent. Austin played football and Maggie played softball. Needless to say, I was impressed. So they decided to don their letter jackets and play a little ball. Enjoy!
This was the “warm up”. When I saw how natural and easy these two interacted together right off the bat I knew we were going to have a fun session!
A little breeze grabbed a few of Maggie’s hairs and then the sun hit them perfectly
After a few minutes of keep away wrestling, they made up.
Maggie’s red dress is a perfect engagement session outfit choice (in my opinion!) She’s comfortable in it but it is stylish and pops in the photos.
Looking forward to the wedding!
