Mollie and Adam are my favorite kind of couple – warm, laid back, and fun to be around. Their day was full of joy and it was an awesome tribute to how much they love each other and how close they are as a family. We started off at the Chase Park Plaza for getting ready, and then headed to the gorgeous Shrine of St Joseph and finally wound up at the Forest Park Visitor’s Center for the party, er.. reception. Enough talk…this is kind of a longish blog, so on with the show. As is customary here at L, I will begin with the shiniest of things!
LOVE the little mustard suede flats
Mollie’s gorgeous lace Monique Lhuillier gown
flowers by Becky Huffman… I adore the lace & burlap wraps
Mollie’s Grandmother gave specific instructions that nobody was to actually blow their nose into the something old!
fun cookies and welcome bags. I may or may not have eaten this cookie. and another one kinda like it.
putting on the finishing touches
the absolutely stunning Mollie Meeks!
meanwhile Kristie was with the boys outside taking photos…
she asked them to sit on the couch… OR pick Adam up like a Sultan… either way!
I think Kristie has totally lost control at this point and everyone is just having fun.
a few more portraits of Mollie and the ladies now that the guys are gone.. love these.
I don’t know why I find the dirty feet hilarious, but I do.
on to Church
pre wedding in the itty bittiest little bride’s room
this ring bearer is very serious about his job.
his sister is a little more carefree
one last knowing glance
I don’t think the dip was planned judging by Mollie’s reaction!
a quick (very quick!!) stop with the wedding party at Forest Park
the ever hilarious boys have kidnaped a random jogger
and are biting Adam.
Finally- the bride and groom in the same frame!
cocktail hour begins
tons of personal little touches artfully executed by Katie Saeger of Simply and Forever Wedding Planning
A friend of Mollie’s did the centerpieces and another the cake (see credits at bottom) — those are some talented BFFs!
the table numbers were all numbers associated with Mollie and Adam’s relationship…. too cute!
Mollie you look like you just won a marathon! I love it.
see– the cake is a stunner. Usually when someone tells me a friend is making the cake I cringe… but not this time!!
In leau of a speech, Mollie’s sister played the piano for a song with the Charles Glenn Band… it sorta brought the house down. Not a dry eye to be found.
first dance time!
another surprise dip?!? YES.
Adam and Mollie and Kristie and I snuck outside into the pitch black of night to have some fun with sparklers and although those two (and us two for that matter) were laughing too hard to be totally still it turned out very cute anyway!
the photo booth props made their way onto the dance floor
nice! I have to say, this was one of the nicest and most fun priests I have ever had the pleasure to meet.
sparkler sendoff!
Congrats Mollie and Adam… Thanks for letting Kristie and I join in the fun! with love, Kate (and Kristie)
