I just saw that Kristie is back to blogging after maternity leave! Welcome back Kris! We have missed you around here. It’s really nice to have a studio full of cool chicks to bounce things off of all of the time. And to just have your back in general. As a wedding photographer it’s also pretty amazing to have a second photographer to lean on sometimes during the day…and Meredith is the best! Mer and I had an awesome day with Molly and Jamie. It was a nice relaxed schedule with plenty of time built in. No crazy running around panic attacks and plenty of time for portraits. My kind of wedding day! Oh and there was some sun. With the days we’ve been having I can safely say that the sun was very appreciated. And beautiful. As was Molly (who kept reminding me of Julianne Moore and I LOVE Julianne More.) Enjoy!
We’ve been seeing a lot of blues this year. I’m definitely a fan!
In a very rare turn of events, we didn’t shoot any getting ready photos of Molly or Jamie. It was just the way things worked out in the end. So we met up with them at their alma mater Wash U for their first look! I still asked them to bring rings and an invitation which I’m glad I did because they were really pretty!
All smiles all around.
Loving Molly’s BHLDN dress.
Also jealous that Molly’s family had so many amazing things to pass down to her including this fur wrap and vintage necklace. I wish I had a necklace that looked like that in my family! Mom? Dad? A little help here?!
Love this little wooded spot in Forest Park.
My good friend Lisa at Belli Fiori designed the florals for this gorgeous day. Loved them! You got my fave dusty miller in there lady! Lisa says I’m predictable with my floral choices. What can I say? I know what I like. And I like that fuzzy texture. A lot. ;)
Since we had plenty of time we walked to the Victorian Bridge. I’ve never had enough time for that walk on a wedding day!
Off to the church! Samuel UCC in Clayton.
It was a really pretty church and just the right size for Molly and Jamie’s guest list. I love it when a church feels full and cozy.
Let’s go party! Off to the Trolley Room at the Visitor’s Center in Forest Park!
Love this simple yet gorgeous cake from Sarah’s Cake Shop.
I love funny faces. Singular moments are the best.
Me experimenting shooting from behind tables of guests during the first dance. Having Meredith around to get the safe good shots lets me do things like this. I really like how it turned out!
Meredith’s angle really focuses in on the emotion of the moment…makes me smile back at the computer screen.
Par-tay!
These little guys in their seersucker suits were just bouncing around like nobody’s business. Too cute for words.
Much love to you both! Thank you for allowing us to be a party of your beautiful day! With love, Liz + Meredith
