I am a little behind on my blogging, but am happy to post this early spring wedding of Sam and Doug! They are a fun and spontaneous couple who laugh a lot and have a tight knit group of family and friends that made the event really fun! Things of note about Doug: 1. He looks dapper in a tuxedo. 2. He is a questionable golf cart driver (I *might* have almost fallen out multiple times! LOL) 3. he works on a submarine! 4. He apparently is a Dr. Pepper addict. Now to the bride…. things to know right off the bat about Sam: 1. She loves Cinderella and her dad has installed a mouse house in the walls of their family home, where a bridal mouse currently resides (NO not a real mouse!) 2. She LOVES chocolate milk. A lot. 3. There is a plate in the photo of the invitation below with the Old Catherdral on it, and these two got married IN the Old Cathedral…. how cool is that?! a sweet gift and vow book from Doug Dad appears to approve of the dress…. and is here to help install the sixpence in the shoes! hello mouse! This is all I am showing of the Old Cathedral at this time…. as we all know it is under construction all around it on the arch grounds and there were construction cones, port-a-potties, and tourists ALL over the place…so we will just gaze upon this pretty part!! Time for the wedding!! Such a beautiful church, and the renovations they have done to the inside are stunning. Goodbye mauve carpet and hello gorgeous wood floors! Doug looks excited to seal the deal! We headed for a quick photo stop with the wedding party en route to the reception! the wind tried to take the veil a couple of times! patriotic socks! There was a semi perilous golf cart ride where Doug and Sam and I rode 3 abreast to get this far out on the course…. it was a white knuckle experience but fun! LOL SO cute. Sam’s Dad MADE this bench for them for their home and all of the guests signed it. What an original idea! The Polish Baby Dance was a first for me!
Congratulations Sam and Doug– thanks for letting me capture your wedding day! with love, kate
