Playtime at home is absolutely one of my favorite sessions to photograph. Kids are totally in their element, excited to show me around, show me their rooms, their toys. It’s always good, fun. PLUS, there is the giant bonus of having these great memories of home to look back on. Don’t you (parents or not, but all adults) love to look back on your childhood photos – glance behind the main subject – and remember what your home looked like; your bedroom, the carpet, or a favorite old toy. (One of my favorite childhood photos I actually have a bucket over my head, surrounded by toys, and some awesome blue shag carpet. Yes, blue shag. It was the 70s).

So, my point to all this rambling … is to consider a photo session at home, if your walls are growing full of park photos. Something that will always be completely, 100% unique to you – your home!
